Allison continued to stare at Derek with the girl he was with as the both of them entered through the gates of the hotel. When she heard Kace's words, she immediately turned her head away, tearing her eyes from them.
"Why is your boyfriend with that girl?" Kace probed, opening the snacks he bought earlier from the convenience store, and threw a potato chip into his mouth, crunching it with his teeth.
"I don't know what you are talking about," Allison responded, resuming her walk and pretending she didn't just see what Kace had also seen.
A frown settled on Kace's eyebrow as she stared at her retreating.
Since the first time he'd seen Derek, he had already concluded he was a jerk, but he didn't expect him to be that kind of a jerk. The fact that Allison had just denied spotting her boyfriend walking into a hotel with a girl who wasn't her just spiked his curiosity even more.
