Selene raised her hand and gently patted Michelle on the head, as if she were a child who had just won a school competition.
"Tell me, my dear lovely sister, do you recognize me now?"
Michelle stared at Selene, as if she'd just seen a ghost, and it took all her self-control not to scream ghost out loud.
Selene continued to smile at her, patting Michelle's hair one more time.
"Now that you know who I truly am, you'd better get ready, because when I strike, it will be swift and unforgiving. Don't say I didn't warn you when the time comes," Selene finished, her voice dripping with quiet menace.
The corners of her lips stretched into a slow, calculated smile as an evil glint flashed through her eyes. The intensity of her gaze sent a shiver down Michelle's spine, and she could feel the weight of Selene's unspoken threat.
Selene walked past Michelle, who was still unable to say a word, and went her way.
