Halloween, a festive time mostly but it is also important for rituals and is deeply rooted in magic. Samhain/ samhuinn is a pagan or druid traditional time of prophecy and spirits. Most don't understand the day truly, Especially those who don't look at their surroundings.
For Helena Potter it's a day of mourning. The day she lost everything, so I find her in the common room crying. I sit next to her as she cries in my shoulder as I console her. Lyra rubbing her back, Hermione trying to look up a cheering charm, and Susan sitting there across from her holding her hands. After an half hour we decide to leave for the feast but as we arrive at the feast our house greeted us and encourages Helena. Hufflepuff loyalty at it's finest. As the feast continues and our fill is being eaten quirrel rushes into the hall screaming " trolls in the dungeon, trolls in the dungeon." As he makes it up to the teachers he says," thought you should know" and fakes faints.
Screams and mass panic ensues among the students and it takes several wand pops from Dumbledore to quite the group,and he foolishly sends us back to the common rooms. Seriously the great Hall could be easily defendable, plus he doesn't need all the teachers. He could also send a owl or apparate himself to the ministry to get aurors. He seriously set this up to just test Helena and possibly get rid of me, especially since he can't get the black fortune or spells with me alive. Too bad it's not going to happen like that. As we leave my friends and I duck out of the group and the plan commences. Susan and Hermione leaves the hall to outside with a owl for the ministry, Lyra and Helena rush through a secret passage to the third floor corridor, and I go straight to the woman's bathroom like the movie. Many ask why if Hermione isn't bullied by Ron. Well the butterfly effect comes to play. Lavender brown was targeted instead and Ron was hurtful towards her. As I approach I could hear the lumbering footsteps of the trolls. I enter the restroom startling lavender brown but before she could scream I grab her wrist and drag her out of the bathroom and run towards another hall.

Lavender Starts panicking but I shove her into a classroom and point my wand at the suit of armor and say "wingardium leviosa, engorgio."
As I place the enlarged suit in front of the classroom door I feel a girl feeling and roll to my right narrowly dodging a thick club smashing the floor. I turn and fire a incendo into the troll and roll to avoid the second troll. Yup two smelly ass trolls, thankfully I'm not alone. " Now!" I say as Ebony comes out of some shadows and fires a shadow ball straight into troll 1 leg stumbling him. I dodge troll 2 chain of attacks before using a protego, stupify combination. I duck as Ebony launches a shadow claw across its face. Troll 1 throws a suit of armor at me but I dodge and it hits troll 2.
" Talk about friendly fire" I joke before launching a confringo spell hitting troll 1 leg and then a glacius/diffendo spell combo straight into its shoulder holding its club. As troll 1 shoulder freezes, troll 2 tackles it and catches the diffendo spell across its ass.

Well beggars can't be choosers, I quickly cast a wingardium leviosa spell on troll 1 club then letting it drop on troll 2 head. Well I guess the are pea brains as a hollow thunk sound echos in the hall. Troll 2 slams into troll 1 and grabs his own club and hurls it at me.
" Fuc-" I barely say as I'm hit by , well a small tree most likely. I slam into the wall at the other end of the corridor, and slid down it. " Damn I bit my tongue," I try to say as blood fills my mouth, I resort to the basic casting spell since it's non-verbal. Ebony latches onto troll 2 back with a fire fang, burning the troll but I wish it isn't. Burning shit doesn't smell good.
I decide to go for broke and boost my power two times and unleash a devastating diffendo, easily slicing deeply into troll 1.

Well he's pissed off but before anything could happen I hear.
" Bombarda,"
I turn and see who I believe to be Susan's aunt Amelia. Along with I guess Kingsley shacklebolt and mad eye Moody. They easily take down the two trolls as just the professors arrive.
" What is going on here," says professor McGonagall," explain yourself"
I nod and tell of how lavender brown wasn't at the feast because of bullying by Ron Weasley from what I heard. I explained how she didn't know of the trolls and her house had already rushed past to their common room unaware of the missing student. I also explained how I thought of the idiocy on professor Dumbledore's order of basically throwing the students into a troll infested castle knowing that they're in danger. I also raise my points on what could have been the easiest way to find and deal with them while also protecting the students.
As I tell all this, I can see madam Bones getting angry and dumbfounded by Dumbledore's idiocy. As I explained on sending the aurors a letter by an owl from Susan and Hermione as I look for lavender. It was a misfortune that I'd be seen by the trolls as I'm escorting lavender as closely to her common room as I could. I shoved lavender into a empty classroom and blocked it off in case the trolls got close.
Both mad eye and Kingsley easily lost their respect for Dumbledore tonight as madam Bones gives him a earful of all the stupidity that he has done. Professor McGonagall takes ten points from ME but also awards all of us 20 points each. Meaning we gained 50 house points. Soon I'm back in the common room with the rest of the Hufflepuffs.
Later that night in my dorm
" So Susan how's your Aunt going to be after today?" I ask Susan as we're in our sleep wear talking into the night.
" She was going to have Dumbledore removed but he called in all his favors to remain as headmaster in all but title. ," says Susan as she stretches," but he's been removed from the positions of supreme mugwump and chief warlock amongst the ministry."
" Good riddance," says Hermione," Lyra whose after the object on the third floor?"
" We saw quirrel arrive first and then Snape confronted him," says Lyra," there's a cerebus guarding what's there."
" I say more than a cerberus, most likely all major professors have a hand in what ever is being guarded. " I say," but if I know Dumbledore it probably be safe to say any competent first year could get it."
They all nod and wish me a good night. As I lay there with Ebony cuddled to my side I get a ping on my laptop. I fish it out of the hiding spot I have and open it to a message that makes me smile.
