Hello! My name is Orokana Bian, and I'm pretty sure I'm 16 years old. I'm just a regular kid from a working-class family, so I don't have too many rules to follow. I go to Tokubetsu High, where everyone calls me "Eaheddo" or something like that. I'm not entirely sure what it means, but my friend said it means airhead. I've never really been too interested in sneakers or anything.I do have a nice pair of Air Jordans, though. That's probably why they call me that, hehe. I really like the way they feel, although someone told me that I'm going to crease my shoes. Although, isn't that normal when wearing shoes? Oh! Yeah... Uhm, wait, what was I thinking of?"Oi, Eaheddo! Get moving, or we'll be late for school!"'Oh yeah... Uhm, wait, what was I thinking of?'"Oi, Eaheddo! Get moving, or we'll be late for school!"'Oh yeah, I forgot I'm still in bed,' I thought as I lay in the nude on my bed."Shit! Shit!"Hey, I'm old enough to swear, don't judge me. It's not like I'm 10! I'm at least 5 years older than that!"Hey! Watch your language, young man," my mom's voice pierced through the tranquillity of our home, echoing up the stairs and jolting me from my lazy morning reverie."I can only speak English anyway," I responded, genuine curiosity lacing my words. Did she expect me to be bilingual? Was there something I was missing? "No... Sigh," her response was more of a sigh of resignation than words.'Where are my clothes! I thought I left them out!'I scrambled around my room, searching frantically for my outfit. It was like they vanished into thin air. Maybe I should've paid more attention to where I tossed them last night."Ah! There they are!" I exclaim as I spot my uniform. At the beginning of the year, it was handed to me in the female outfit. Apparently, some people think I look feminine? That really got under my skin, especially when my friends teased me about it! But now, my fixed uniform consists of some dark blue trousers and a white shirt. There's also a tie and blazer with the school logo.I hastily pull it on, not bothering with finesse. I quickly glance around to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. Wouldn't be the first time. 'Okay, got everything,' I thought to myself as I head towards the door, knowing I can't afford to miss the bus. If I do, my mom will make me wear the female uniform as punishment, something she had begun to threaten me with."Ugh... that makes my body want to shake," I think to myself about the punishment. The mere thought sends a shiver down my spine."I'm on my way, Yujo!" I shout at my brother, who's waiting at the door for me. He stands there, a picture of impatience, tapping his foot with exaggerated annoyance."You better, or I'm getting Mother to put you in that female outfit," he fires back with a smirk, his eyes gleaming with mischief.I let out a little scream of fear upon hearing him say those words, causing him to laugh at me. "HAHA! Maybe I should keep us late," he teases, relishing in my discomfort.'No, he couldn't do this to poor old me!' But I know he's fully capable of suchthings. He's proven it before, like that time I confessed my fear of spiders, only for him to surprise me with a tarantula as a "pet." "Okay, I'm here!" I scream out in excitement, relieved that I made it without missing the bus! Or so I thought, until I stepped out and saw the bus slowly and painfully driving away from the bus stop."Ah."____________________________________________________________"I don't want to talk about it," I said, about to enter the car while dressed in the female's outfit. I don't understand why people even laugh at me when I wear it. I mean, it just clothes!"O-ok," he said, snickering even while trying to hold back his laughter."I-it f-fits you we- HAHAHA," he stammered through his laughter, tears streaming down his face as he struggled to contain himself. It was clear he found the situation hilariously ironic, knowing he wasn't the one being punished for our tardiness. "Shut up! I-its not funny!" I snapped back at Yujo, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and frustration. My mother really went all out with this punishment, especially considering we were already late. She decided to go all out this time... The car ride went on in the same fashion, with Yujo continuing to make fun of me while I sat in the back, feeling humiliated and upset."You're so mean!" I said, my voice trembling with a light tear in my eye."Shut up, Crybaby," he retorted. 'Shut up,' I thought to myself, knowing if I said it aloud, he would have immediately done something worse. Instead, I clenched my fists, silently seething with frustration as the car trundled along the road."Stop fucking around, kids. We're here, so get out already," she said, her voice tinged with annoyance after enduring our arguing the entire way."I can't leave with this on!" I said while having tears in my eyes from embarrassment. Although Yujo Proceeded to drag me outside while smirking.Thud! I tripped and fell flat on my face."Waaah!" I started to cry out of embarrassment."Who's that girl with Yujo?""Who is that?""Wait, is that Eaheddo?!""Did he not realize?"'Oh god, why is everyone here? Did school not start yet? I wanted to get inside without being seen!' I thought frantically.'Wait, maybe there is someone else. Yeah, definitely,' I reassured myself, trying to shake off the embarrassment as I approached my friend Haruki."Uhm, Eaheddo, why are you wearing that?" Haruki asked me, his expression a mix of confusion and concern."I am being punished for missing the bus," I replied with a bit of defeat in my voice, hoping he wouldn't press further."By the way, who is everyone talking about?" I asked, trying to deflect attention away from myself. I really wanted to know about this person."Oh... It's no one," Haruki said with a hint of pity in his voice."Oh, okay," I replied, feeling disappointed. Well, I guess it's not really that important.'Is this guy really that stupid?' Haruki asked himself, clearly puzzled by my obliviousness to the situation."We have to go to our first class," Haruki told me with a bored look on his face."Right... What class is that?" I asked, my mind momentarily blank as I struggled to recall our schedule."Are you joking? We've had the same schedule for four months," Haruki said with an annoyed look on his face."Actually, knowing you, I'm not surprised it's like this every time," he added with a sigh, his frustration evident in his tone."Hey... What do you mean?" I said, feeling a pang of confusion and a hint of hurt as I struggled to understand what he was referring to. My eyes began to well up with tears, unsure of why he was speaking to me this way."Stop crying at everything. Why are you like this?" Haruki said, his annoyance evident in his tone, though I was still puzzled about what exactly he meant by 'like this.'"Sniffle Fine..." I replied, pouting my lips in a mixture of hurt and frustration, feeling a bit misunderstood by his comment. All Haruki could think was if Eaheddo was a little girl. As to him, he was acting like one."Let's go, little girl, we're in room 2-E," Haruki said in a mocking tone."Okay... Wait, what?" I asked in confusion, not quite catching his words clearly."Nothing," he replied quickly, though his tone hinted at a lingering amusement.____________________________________________________________"Okay, class. Please wri—" I couldn't finish hearing what the teacher was saying, as I had ended up falling asleep, my head drooping down onto the desk in front of me. Dreaming about... well, let's just say it involved endless candy, and not a single mention of school."Meow," I let out a meow in my boredom, my sudden awakening prompting the odd noise."What was that, Eaheddo?" the teacher inquired, a hint of confusion in their voice."I, uh, coughed," I quickly replied, hoping to pass off the strange sound as something more conventional. It's not like our class is being quiet in the first place. The chaos filled the room, with the teacher struggling to maintain control amidst the conversations and shouting people. 'Its too loud to nap properly'._____________________________________________________________Ring"Bye, Eaheddo!" Haruki shouted over his shoulder as he walked off, leaving me standing there.'Hmm, I wonder what I should do?' Lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice my feet beginning to move on their own. I wandered through the bustling streets, my mind drifting as my body took me on an aimless journey around town. I passed by familiar shops, the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the bakery, and the chatter of people enjoying their day filled the air. Despite the noise and activity around me, I felt a strange sense of detachment, my mind occupied with thoughts of the day's events.'What was I doing again?' I wondered. Without giving it much thought, I continued walking, letting my feet take me wherever they wanted without a care. The sights and sounds of the town blurred together as I strolled.Clunk "Owww, my head..." I thought as I fell unconscious.____________________________________________________________'Woah, what is this place?' I found myself above the clouds, surrounded by an endless expanse of fluffy white for miles.'This is really comfy,' I thought while digging my body into the fluffy cloud. The soft, airy texture felt like the most comfortable bed I'd ever lain on, making me forget all my worries."Hello? You there?" A voice infiltrated my thoughts while I was basking in the clouds, pulling me out of my dreamy state. "AHH!" I yet out a yelp of fear when hearing the voice.Looking at the person in front of me, I saw some weirdo sitting there in a robe-like outfit. They were seated with their legs crossed on a red pillow, surrounded by clouds as if they were one with them."Hello, young... lady," they said with a hint of confusion. Which I would say is a bit rude! I mean, I am obviously a guy!"I am a g—" I began, trying to correct them, but they cut me off. "I know you must have lots of questions about where you are." It said with a hint of sadness."I'm sorry to tell you, but you have died," they told me, a note of remorse in their voice.'Clearly, I'm not dead because I'm sitting right here. I mean, are they stupid?' This thought ran through my head as I began to ignore the person speaking, finding myself more interested in the soft, fluffy floor beneath me."Now, when people die, it's my job to reincarnate them into a new world," they continued, their tone becoming more matter-of-fact. "I know how you humans love magic, so I'll be sending you to a place that has plenty of it."I barely registered what they were saying, still distracted by the softness of the clouds. 'Reincarnate? Magic? This has to be some kind of weird dream,' I thought, absently running my fingers through the fluffy surface beneath me."Are you even listening?" the person asked, their voice cutting through my daze."Uh, yeah, sure. Magic world, got it," I replied, still not fully grasping the situation but figuring it was best to play along."Okay, I can give people one wish before they go in," they said, their tone tinged with caution. But I wasn't really listening. And without a second thought, I blurted out, "I wish for free food in this new world..."The person's eyes widened in surprise, and they opened their mouth to protest. Thinking they didn't want them to have something that stupid, they instead granted them unlimited storage with free food in it.'God, this human is really weird. They usually get excited for this,' the being thought, observing my lack of enthusiasm as I continued to play around with the clouds.I remained blissfully unaware of the being's thoughts, completely absorbed in my own little world of fluffy clouds and daydreams.'You know what, I usually don't do this, but if they want to act like a cat, they can look like one too,' the being thought, deciding to punish me. Opting for a more "exciting" transformation."Now I will gift you with a little bit of knowledge about this world," the being announced as they began to transmute some basic knowledge into my head."OWW! That hurts my head! Stop!" I cried out, feeling the overwhelming surge of information causing my head to ache.'I only put in the language so far... How can her brain not handle anything else?!' the being wondered, perplexed by my unexpected reaction to the simple infusion of knowledge."Oh well, I suppose I gave you enough... Eh, good luck. Don't die!" the being said as the world around me began to warp. All I could make out was a faint "no..." as the cushion-like ground disappeared.____________________________________________________________
