Kakashi slowly opened his eyes, feeling a slight numbness throughout his body. Blurred images began to clear, and he realized he was in an unfamiliar place. The pristine white walls of the hospital room and the monotonous buzzing of medical equipment prompted him to sit up a bit.
Kakashi: Where am I? – he thought, trying to remember how he ended up here, but his memory only held fragments of events.
Kakashi: That long sleep has drained me completely. – Kakashi, slightly lifting himself, noticed a girl sleeping next to his hospital bed and recognized who she was.
Kakashi decided not to wake her, understanding how tired she was from worrying about him. His gaze settled on the window, through which the first rays of the morning sun were streaming in. Kakashi got out of bed and examined his body.
Kakashi: Am I still alive? – said Kakashi.
He walked to the window and watched the bustling life outside. Then he looked at his palm and saw the words: You are being watched. – He swallowed nervously and began to feel anxious.
A few moments passed before Rin, sleeping nearby, began to wake up. Her eyes slowly opened, and she saw that Kakashi was missing from the bed. Turning her head, she looked at Kakashi in surprise, not expecting him to already be awake.
Rin: You're awake! – her voice was filled with joy and relief. – How do you feel?
Kakashi: A bit weak, but overall not bad. How did I end up here?
The door to the room opened, and several people entered: Obito, Minato, and Orochimaru.
Orochimaru: He ended up here because he couldn't defeat three chunin and was injured, and might have been killed. If this had been a real battle and not a setup, you and your entire team could have died. – Orochimaru said, addressing Minato. Orochimaru noticed Kakashi standing by the window.

Sam was waiting for his moment to appear and influence the plot.
With his observation skill, Sam saw Kakashi's Chidori pierce through Rin's body. He saw how she didn't flinch for the sake of the village and felt Kakashi's immense grief.
Kakashi awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan and fell unconscious, which also automatically turned off Sam's observation. After a few minutes, Sam opened his eyes and looked around the dark room. He glanced at the clock, which showed it was now dark outside. Activating control over Kakashi's body, Sam stood up, looked around, and saw the massacre Obito had caused after seeing Kakashi kill Rin.
Obito was engulfed in deep rage and despair, leading to the bloody carnage.
Obito used his power to destroy the Hidden Mist ninjas one by one. Now, Obito sat beside Rin's body. He didn't even notice Kakashi standing behind him.
Sam: I'm sorry. You lost the one you loved. - Obito, hearing Kakashi's voice, turned around with hatred in his eyes.
Obito: You! - he turned, his blood-red eyes filled with fury, sending chills down Sam's spine.
Sam: Don't jump to conclusions, I'm not Kakashi. – he said, removing the Konoha headband and Kakashi's mask.
Obito: Who are you?! – he growled, hearing voices in his head urging him to kill Kakashi.
Sam: You don't need to know my name. I want to help you.
Obito: I... know... you... You're the one who lives in Kakashi's body.
Sam: Correct, – he approached Rin's body, knelt, and touched her head.
Obito: What are you doing?! – Obito was on the verge of snapping, ready to attack.
Sam: Inventory – he said, and Rin's body was enveloped in a blue glow. The bright light blinded Obito, and Rin's body disappeared.
Obito, in a rage, attacked Sam, kicking him tens of meters into a tree. Then Obito released dozens of wooden spikes from his hands. Sam dodged each one, coughed up blood, and looked at Obito.
Sam: Come to the Hidden Leaf Village in two months. I'll be waiting for you at the Hokage's Rock.
