Youngsik approached Nami with a warm smile.
"Haven't seen you around since that day. How are you doing?"
Nami fidgeted nervously, his cheeks flushing.
"D-Doing good," he stammered, avoiding her gaze.
Eunhye, noticing Nami's reaction, couldn't resist teasing him.
"She's hot, you know. Can't take her eyes off you."
Nami froze, his heart pounding. "Just someone I know," he mumbled, trying to play it cool. Then he shifted his focus back to his work, concentrating on Youngsik's order, not wanting to mess it up. Meanwhile, Youngsik sat at one of the small tables in the restaurant, watching Nami's every movement. Eunhye noticed this but wasn't really interested in asking and simply brushed it off.
After his shift, Nami found Youngsik waiting outside. He was a bit confused as to why she was waiting outside, especially since it was snowing heavily. The temperature had dropped drastically, and even Nami, with his thick and warm gloves, couldn't stand the cold. He kept rubbing his hands together to warm them up.
When Nami asked why she was waiting, Youngsik just shrugged and said, "You seemed a bit down, and I noticed you didn't seem well. It's late and snowy, so I thought we might as well walk together, just in case something happens."
With that, Nami couldn't refuse the offer. He had been overly cautious, worried that his ex might find him, even though he knew the chances were low. Still, he was a bit traumatized by what had happened before.
A few minutes into their walk, Youngsik finally broke the silence.
"How's everything going? Have you contacted the police about your ex?"
Nami sighed. "No, I didn't have any proof. I just overheard him talking about selling me. It seemed better not to get involved with false accusations."
Youngsik's expression softened. "I'm sorry you had to g
As the wind picked up and the snow began to fo through that."
Nami forced a smile. "It's just how it is."all more heavily, Youngsik took off her coat and draped it over Nami. "You can't get sick," she said gently.
Nami, touched by her kindness, mumbled a quiet "Thank you."
His flushed cheeks and ears were visible, her chuckles could be heard making him even more flustered.
"What's your address? I'll walk you home," Youngsik offered.
Nami immediately shaking his head, it was a generous offer but he couldn't help himself to accept that. he's scared that he'll got attached to easily
not letting that happened, ever again
"Thank you, but i'll be fine"
"i need to make a stop somewhere else, so i prefer to walk alone"
her reaction was mixed. but, knowing that his privacy matter, she just nodding along.
"okay, well i hope you're safe"
she gave him a warm genuine smile.
"this is my turn, guess we'll separate here.."
He nods. despite wanting to reach those hands, he just gave a verbal reaction rather than words.
"See you later..."
