Chapter 93 - Ch 93: Li Rui

*Clang* *Clang* *Clang* *Clang* *Clang*

The battle has been going on for five whole minutes during which Yang Feng and Su Yan have constantly been clashing. Yang Feng has also constantly kept his strength a few notches up from Su Yan's.

He although had landed a few hits on her, but had also been hit by her, though he was only hurt lightly. Just as the audience thought that the two would keep on clashing like this, Yang Feng's spear landed on Su Yan's shoulder, piercing it.

Luckily, Su Yan reacted swiftly and backed away. She looked at her shoulder that had been pierced through and was bleeding. She used her Qi and cooled down the wound to lessen the pain, while her passive healing started to slowly heal the wound.

All the while she kept her focus on Yang Feng, who despite her being injured didn't stop his assault. Looking at the approaching Yang Feng, Su Yan waved her sword while pushing a great deal of her Qi into it, causing a cold and shimmering Qi slash to attack Yang Feng.

"Moonwave Yin Slash!"

Wherever the Qi wave passed through, the temperature would drop and become eerily cold. This was because this sword move was created by Su Yan by taking the concept of moon being one of the major source of Yin Qi in the world. She used her understanding of Yin Qi and the rays (Yin Qi from the moon) of the moon and turned all that understanding into her sword technique.

Yang Feng looked at the massive sword slash approaching him and also waved his spear to create a Qi slash similar to Su Yan's, also using a portion of his Qi to perfectly counter the coming slash.

"Blazing Yang Strike."

The slash came out as a near blinding Yellowish red wave that emitted great amount of heat. It was made from the concept of Yang Qi from the sun, the complete opposite of Su Yan's slash. When the two waves met, the two simply canceled each other out.

Yang Feng had used the opposing element to Su Yan's 'Moonwave Yin Slash' and cancelled it out. Seeing this, Su Yan smiled wearily before she looked towards the referee and said, "I quit."

The referee was taken aback at the sudden forfeit but recovered after a moment. He then announced Yang Feng as the winner.

Yang Feng on the other hand withdrew his spear and instantly appeared in front of Su Yan. Su Yan knew why he did so and was secretly a bit happy at his worry, though she said, "I'm alright. The wo...", or more like tried to say as Yang Feng simply put a pill in her mouth. The pill was a spirit grade healing pill that heals heal injuries and recover Qi.

Su Yan knew that whatever she says would be pointless and quietly swallowed it and used her Qi to quickly desolve it and absorb it's effects.

Yang Feng saw her swallowing the pill and nodded approvingly. Although he knew that that level of injury wasn't something to worry for people of their level, especially with their powerful bodies after Body Cultivation. He wasn't stingy and wasn't bothered because of a mere pill, especially if it was used on his wives.

He would rather spoil them, but they weren't objects or such, they were his equals, his companions and he respected their ambitions and goals to become strong and help him.

After that, the results were announced and Yang Feng was given the reward of the competition, which as he had expected was an artifact that had barely reached the Low-Saint Grade.

After receiving the reward, Yang Feng and Su Yan reunited with Meng Wu Ya and Xia Ning Chang and returned to the inn they were previously living in. In his room, Yang Feng said to Su Yan who was sitting next to him, "you really surprised me back there. You could have told me you were participating as well."

Su Yan looked at Yang Feng's false sulking face and chuckled lightly and answered with a mischievous tone while stroking his hair, "and where's the fun in that. If I had told you, I wouldn't be able to see your cute surprised face *giggle*"

"Oh really?..", Yang Feng spoke while looking at Su Yan with shining eyes. Having a foreboding, Su Yan looked at Yang Feng cautiously and said, "what are you planning... Yang Feng... Hey..stop that... Yang ahhh~~"

And so Yang Feng and Su Yan played a game that was inappropriate for children to read about. {😜🀣}

...

What Yang Feng didn't know about, while he was enjoying the spring of life, that his and even Su Yan's name was widely being spread. People named them prodigies because of their age, cultivation and strong combat powers.

Many people from different sects were also present in the city, responsible for scouting telents for recruitment. They also started to send reports to their sects that contained Su Yan's and Yang Feng's information and such, along with anyone they thought were good additions for the sect.

In just a few days Yang Feng became quite famous in nearly all 1st and 2nd Class Forces and a few even sent people to invite them to their sect. But unfortunately for them, by then Yang Feng and his group had already left the city.

...

"Where are we going, old man.", Yang Feng asked Meng Wu Ya as they flew towards their next destination. It has been 9 days since the tournament ended. After staying in the city for 2 days, the four left the city.

Along the way after nearly 6 or 7 days, Meng Wu Ya suddenly took out a communication jade from his universe bag and with a slightly surprised and happy face made them take a detour without even telling them why.

They had already asked Meng Wu Ya a few times where he was taking them but they always got the same response like right now, "just going to visit a friend."

Sighing, the three gave up. Anyway, they were already near their destination and would meet Meng Wu Ya's 'friend' soon. After another hour of flying, the four passed by a 1st Tier city and landed on the mountain top right next to the city.

As they were about to land, the four saw a modestly built wooden cabin in front of them. As soon as they landed, the door of the cabin opened and a handsome looking young man holding the hand of an elderly man, who was holding a crane in his other hand, came out.

"Hahahaha, you're still alive huh you old fossil.", the elderly man roared as soon as he saw Meng Wu Ya. "Huh! Your one to talk you old geezer. You look like you have one foot in the grave.", Meng Wu Ya also roared while looking at the old man.

The four youths on both sides looked between the two elders, feeling the atmosphere suddenly tensing.

On the other hand, as Yang Feng looked at the two people who came out of the cabin for a minute, a sudden thought struck him followed by a understanding of what was happening.

Suddenly, the two old men suddenly started to laugh out loud, breaking the tense atmosphere. Causing Xia Ning Chang, Su Yan and the young man to sigh, feeling the tension waning. The two elders then shook hands before Meng Wu Ya introduced the old man.

"This here is an old friend of mine. His name is Li Rui and he is the best alchemist in the entire Tong Xuan Realm." Meng Wu Ya then introduced Yang Feng and the girls, "this here is My desciple Xia Ning Chang and she's a alchemy genius.", At this the young man with Li Rui looked like he wanted to say something, while the old man just raised an eyebrow. 'this old goat evaluates her quite highly and knowing his character, what he said is likely true. Interesting.'

Meng Wu Ya then continued, "This here is Su Yan, who is also a genius of martial way... And this brat is Yang Feng and ..he ...*sigh* he's the lover of the two girls", at this Meng Wu Ya smiled wearily before continuing, "The brat's simply a monster in all aspects. As you could already tell from his cultivation, his attainment in martial way is also too high. He's also a Saint Grade Artifact Refiner, Saint .. Grade Array Master ... and .. Saint .. Grade ... Alchemist."

The more he spoke the more he realized how stupidly unreasonable the brat's talent was and looked at Yang Feng weirdly. Li Rui also looked at him weirdly before looking at Meng Wu Ya as if he was crazy. His eyes clearly saying, 'old fossil, have you gone mad, there's no way a boy his age can do that much!'

The youth with Li Rui also looked at Meng Wu Ya with contempt. As if sensing how the two were looking at him, Meng Wu Ya asked Yang Feng, who was looking on with an amused expression with the two girls, to show the two his badges.

Yang Feng shook his head before showing his badges to the two, each having his name on them along with his aura meaning that it was connected to him as every badge was to it's owner.

When the two saw the three badges, that represented his status as a Saint Grade professional of each profession, though his alchemy badge was only Peak-Spirit Grade one, their eyes nearly popped out of the sockets.

After coming out of their shock the two looked at Yang Feng as if seeing an anomaly. They now knew fully believed Meng Wu Ya's words, he was a monster. As for his last badge being that of Peak-Spirit Grade, they thought that he recently advanced and didn't have the time for an evaluation.

The old man then introduced the young man with him, "this here is my last desciple, his name is Di Yao.", Yang Feng felt that Li Rui wanted to continue, but didn't.

They all then went into the cabin and were served tea and talked. During the talk, Li Rui and Meng Wu Ya made a bet on whose desciple was better in alchemy and so Xia Ning Chang and Di Yao had an alchemy competition.

Needless to say, Xia Ning Chang won like in the original timeline by refining a Low-Saint Grade pill with pill veins. Yes, a Saint Grade. Because of Yang Feng's guidance and the inheritance he had transfered to her, she advanced like a fish in the water and in the last 9 months had become a Mid-Saint Grade Alchemist.

Li Rui who had observed the match, looked at Xia Ning Chang as if looking at a divine entity and at Meng Wu Ya as if looking at his worst enemy, in response to which Meng Wu Ya smiled proudly.

Li Rui had figured out that Xia Ning Chang had the 'Sacred Spirit Medicine Body' and was feeling regretful that Meng Wu Ya had her as a desciple otherwise he would have liked to guide such a precious talent and maybe advance his skills in the process as well.

Yang Feng and his group then stayed near Li Rui's place, where a few more cabins were present for guests, for 25 days before leaving. During these days Yang Feng had tried to deepen his understanding of Space Laws. He now had enough control to travel in the Void Space of Tong Xuan Realm without losing himself and opening a Void Crack anywhere.

{A-Note: hey people! I know that you want me to speed run through the fic, but as I always say, it is all for the plot and character building. So although the pace isn't fast paced, it isn't slow-paced either. If I really start to write it as a slow paced one, the small world arc would have been around 200 chapters longπŸ˜‚.

Also you all should consider the timeskips that will be happening as the story goes on, like really I aren't writing chapters about how the MC spent his 10-50 years in secultion or traveling.

I have divided Tong Xuan Realm Arc into ten points and this chapter has finished two of those points (the 2nd point was about Li Rui and Di Yao and I originally wanted it to be 2-3 chapters long but decided against it.}
