Elder Edward's eyes took on a faraway look. "Hmm, I'm thinking I'm traveling back to my old days.." he said, a hint of wistfulness in his voice.
Rosie playfully teased him, "You keep thinking that, then..."
Elder Edward chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. He basked in the warmth and love of the moment, feeling grateful for the joy that Rosie and his family brought into his life.
Elder Edward stood up from the sofa. "Grandfather, are you not going to wear a tie?" Thea asked, noticing he wasn't wearing one.
"Oh, I forgot to wear it."
"Then let me help you with it.." Rosie suggested.
Elder Edward nodded his head, and Rosie helped him put on the tie.
"Now you are looking great for the event, Grandfather.." Thea said.
"Let's go downstairs to greet the guests.." Elder Edward suggested, turning to his wife and taking her hand before leaving the room.
