Her shirt and pants were soaked, sticking to her skin, and her hair was plastered to her face. She looked down at herself, mortified.
She quickly rushed out from the bathroom and went to her room, her heart beat was accelerating . She closed the door behind her with a thud, as if trying to shut out the embarrassment that lingered in the air.
Leaning against the door, she took a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself down. But as she replayed the incident in her mind, her cheek flushed once again, and she couldn't help but let out a mortified groan.
"Why did I have to be so clumsy?" she thought to herself, burying her face in her hands. She couldn't believe she had fallen not once, but twice, in front of Ryder. And to make matters worse, she had landed on top of him, her body pressed against his bare chest. The memory of his warm skin and defined muscles sent a shiver down her spine, and she felt her face grow even hotter.
