Chapter 1 - The Begining

Wallachia is a realm of stunning natural beauty, encompassing rolling hills, dense forests, and rugged mountain ranges. The Danube River flows through the heart of the kingdom, its waters imbued with magical properties that sustain the land. The land of Wallachia is steeped in legends and lore, with tales of brave knights, fearsome monsters, and powerful sorcery passed down through generations. The ruins of ancient fortresses hide ancient artifacts of great power, while sacred groves serve as sanctuaries for druids and other guardians of the natural world.Despite its beauty and wonder, Wallachia faces numerous threats from dark forces that seek to plunge the kingdom into chaos.

For generations, the Draconis family had upheld a tradition of protecting Wallachia from external threats and internal strife. They were seen as the guardians of justice and righteousness, revered for their devotion to the Gods and their commitment to safeguarding the weak and vulnerable within their realm. Reinhardt von Draconis is a formidable patriarch of the Draconis family, known for his unwavering dedication to protecting and ruling the kingdom of Wallachia. As the patriarch, he instilled in his children a strong sense of duty, honor, and faith in the gods they preached. Reinhardt is a skilled warrior and a wise ruler who commanded respect from both his subjects and neighboring realms.Helena von Draconis, the matriarch of the family, is renowned for her wisdom and compassion. She is not only the supportive wife to Reinhardt but also an advisor and healer to the people of Wallachia. Her kindness and empathy endeared her to the kingdom's populace, earning her the title of "Mother of the Realm."

At the heart of this illustrious lineage were two brothers, born three years apart, whose destinies intertwined amidst the echoes of valor and wisdom that echoed through their ancestral halls. Vladimir Von Draconis, the elder brother, was a child of fire and steel from his earliest days. Blessed with a rare duality of skill, he excelled not only in the art of swordsmanship, but also in the arcane mysteries of magic. His father, Reinhardt von Draconis, recognized Vladimir's prodigious talents early on and took him under his wing. Under Reinhardt's guidance, Vladimir honed his skills with both blade and spell, becoming a peerless warrior and a formidable mage. His prowess on the battlefield was matched only by his unwavering sense of justice and duty.

Lucas von Draconis, the younger brother, stood in awe of Vladimir's achievements from a young age. Unlike his elder brother, Lucas was not born with innate prodigy, but he was a determined and diligent young man. While Vladimir trained with swords and delved into the secrets of magic, Lucas immersed himself in books and scrolls, tirelessly studying history, strategy, and the arcane arts. His mother, Helena von Draconis, recognized Lucas's thirst for knowledge and nurtured his intellectual pursuits, instilling in him a deep respect for scholarship and wisdom. Despite their differing paths, the bond between Vladimir and Lucas was unbreakable. Where Vladimir possessed the gift of natural talent and formidable skill, Lucas compensated with relentless effort and an insatiable hunger for knowledge. He looked up to his elder brother with admiration and sought to emulate Vladimir's courage, strength, and unwavering dedication to their family and kingdom.

The wrath of Draconis brothers is to be seen in their first battle against the demonic army at the western castel walls.

In the ancient kingdom of Wallachia, where honor and duty were as steadfast as the towering mountains that bordered its lands, two brothers stood at the forefront of a looming conflict. Vladimir Von Draconis, seasoned in both swordsmanship and magic, and Lucas von Draconis, a diligent scholar and aspirant warrior, faced their greatest challenge yet—the demonic army led by Malphas the Malevolent.

Lucas, the younger of the brothers, spoke grimly of their adversary: "The demon army is commanded by Malphas the Malevolent, a ruthless leader who has brought 1,000 demonic soldiers to our western castle walls. Their forces include 500 foot soldiers, 100 mages, 50 giants, 50 higher demonic beasts, and 300 human collaborators."

Vladimir's brow furrowed with concern. "Why do these humans side with demons, knowing it's an unforgivable sin? This alliance poses a grave threat. How many soldiers do we have?"

Lucas hesitated, "Our army numbers 700 strong: 400 foot soldiers, 200 mages, and 100 knights are prepared for the war. However, 500 extra soldiers are stationed elsewhere, protecting our borders and citizens."

Vladimir's gaze hardened. "How soon until the demonic army reaches our western borders?"

Lucas responded, "Due to heavy snowfall, they won't arrive for another five days."

Vladimir's mind raced with strategy. "Ensure all citizens are evacuated to the capital. Patrol trade routes, warn neighboring nations, and seal the castle doors in three days to avoid casualties."

Lucas nodded, "Most citizens are relocated, and our warnings to neighboring nations are underway."

"We can't wait for them to reach us," Vladimir insisted. "We must diminish their numbers before they arrive."

Lucas proposed, "We could send small units at night to disrupt their forces."

Vladimir approved, "Deploy our spies as mercenaries with bombs to sow chaos among them. Prepare a company of 50 soldiers armed with bombs and mana disruptors."

Under the cover of night, Wallachian spies infiltrated the demonic camp. Two days before the battle, they planted explosives near sleeping tents, crippling many demons and disrupting mana flow, rendering enemy mages powerless. The Wallachian company targeted demonic beasts and inflicted significant losses.

Yet, Malphas the Malevolent swiftly retaliated, causing casualties on both sides. Wallachia lost five foot soldiers, two mages, and a knight, but the demonic army suffered heavy losses: 30 beasts, 50 foot soldiers, and 30 mages, with over 50 wounded.

In the chaos, a Wallachian spy was captured and tortured by Malphas.

"Why can't we extract information from him?" Malphas demanded of his mages.

"There's a mental barrier preventing access," a mage explained. "Any attempt to breach it risks his death."

Malphas's voice dripped with malice as he confronted the captured spy:

"You pitiful human, do you comprehend the devastation your actions have caused us? Yet, I am feeling generous today. I offer you a choice—a swift and painless death if you divulge the location of your allies. But if you choose silence, prepare yourself for unimaginable torment. Your organs will be devoured slowly by demonic beasts, while you remain alive in their cage, screaming for mercy. I have witnessed countless souls break under the mere sight of these beasts."

His words carried a chilling weight, conveying the ruthless nature of Malphas and the grim fate awaiting the defiant spy.

The spy's laughter cut through the tension, echoing defiance in the face of Malphas's threat:

"I find it amusing how your soldiers faltered in fear. They couldn't even defend themselves when our hands, guided by the divine, struck them down. We pray to our God, whose divinity empowers us to protect our people from creatures like you. Why would I betray my country and dishonor God by yielding to your demands? The pain you promise is nothing compared to the stain it would leave on my soul. Silence will be my only answer to your questions."

His words were a resolute proclamation of faith and loyalty, unshaken by Malphas's menacing presence.

Malphas's voice dripped with contempt as he delivered his final judgment:

"So be it. Revel in the agony and plead with your God to ease it. I assure you, neither drugs nor your God's intervention will grant you reprieve."

Malphas's command cut through the tense air with ominous intent:

"Ensure his head is preserved after death. It will be the first sight our enemies behold when we breach their borders."

As the skirmishes continued, the primary objective was not mere damage, but to wear down the demonic forces before their arrival at the borders.

Finally, the day of battle arrived—a clash awaited between Vladimir Von Draconis and Malphas the Malevolent.
