Hero glares at the people in front of him whilst Peitho tries to free herself when the men who are holding her are gradually getting out of the scene. When she finally freed herself, she hastily went to where Simon and helped him.
"Who are you?" Hero's baritone makes everyone to be afraid. His face is serious looking at Paul who keeps on snickering as he stares at Hero.
"Fool you for not knowing my name. Don't you know that I am famous here? Bow down to me so I will spare—" He wasn't able to finish his sentence when Hero immediately gave him a hard punch causing him to fly away which surprised Aamon who was standing right beside Paul.
Everyone was silent after seeing such a scene that they didn't expect. Simon and Peitho were also shocked to see how much he improved after one night of hunting monsters outside the City. Just how did he do it? In just one night?
"Whoever wants to pick a fight with me can move forward. Let us end this already as we still have so many things to do. My main enemy isn't you, you weaklings. Stop disturbing us."
No one tries to speak again until the three men have finally arrived, carrying the bags of gems which causes Paul's Elite Group to be attracted. "W-what happened?" The one with the mustache asks while gasping for air and looking at people one by one.
The other guy that is in his back dropped the gems and then held his knees to support him. "It's so tiring to run! Why did you just leave us there!?"
Paul's Elite Group leader smirks and starts to turn his back causing Hero to look at him. " Our boss isn't here so it is no use to stay here any longer," he pauses for a moment and speaks again. "I wonder what are that gems used for? I know you will use it to kill the she monster, however, how will you do it?"
"It's none of your business," Hero immediately responded and turned his back to help the three guys carry the gems and head back to their community.
The leader smirked and started walking, ordering those with lower ranks to follow him. Before they could enter the gate, Pietho tried to take a peek at the Elite group before finally getting in and closing the gate.
They gathered in one spot and placed the bag of gems in the center. Everyone was amazed to see how beautiful and shiny the gems were. Hero began explaining everything about the gems, and all those involved in forging weapons would follow Peitho's instructions. After he finished explaining, he called his sister and gave her the remaining red gems.
"What is this for, brother?"
"Put these gems in my swords. Can you do it?" She stares at the gems and then at the swords that he is holding.
"Let's see if I can. I can't guarantee that I can do it, Brother." He smiled and tapped Peitho's shoulders.
"I know you can, you are the best next to Reyana anyway."
He left her alone and went to the top to look around their area. Simon was there too, guarding the place. He sat beside Simon and both of them just stared in front of them. Even though he was too far from outside the city, Hero could still see monsters lurking around, trying to find their prey.
"Hey Hero, do you think the world will turn back to normal sooner?" He didn't bother to look at him but he opened his mouth to speak.
"Yes, I will make sure of that. This world is ours and we should need to take back what's ours." He clenches his fist and Simon notices.
"You are the only person I met who is eager to turn back this world to what it was back then. Others are now enjoying their new life and are scared to fight against monsters. Doesn't want to die so they'll just keep on hiding to keep themselves safe."
"If you remain weak, you'll surely hide to keep yourself alive. Everyone has their own struggles and their own decisions about what to do to survive. However, after seeing death right through my eyes, I just can't stand idly and let those monsters wander freely in my home. I want them to be scared of me so that when they see or sense me, they would run as fast as they can to hide and to get away from me."
He stood up and spoke again. "Wanna come with me at Valerie's station?" Hero looks at Simon who is still sitting holding his weapon.
"If I go with you, who will be the ones to protect these people inside this gate?" Hero smiles.
"Alright, protect them at all costs while my presence is absent." Simon looked down and let Hero run and jump away from their territory. He looks at where he went and clenches his fist.
"Getting stronger is hard for me. How can Hero get stronger so much faster than me when both of us only do one thing: consuming the energy of the gems? Is there something else that he is doing, or is it because of his black eyes?" He mutters.
Everyone was busy, especially Peitho and Vortel, who had experience in forging weapons. With Peitho's guidance on how to merge the gems into the weapon, Vortel was able to do it perfectly in just three days, which made production faster. Everyone is getting ready because they only have two days left until Valerie's awakening. However, when Hero visited the station once again, he had a feeling that something was not right. What could it be?
"You okay?" asks Sir Pancho. Hero looks at him while holding the beer in his hand. He smiles and nods while looking at the people enjoying their night after giving their all and being able to complete their tasks in a short time.
"Yes, sir," Sir Pancho smiled and sat beside him. "I am thinking of uniting this city as one community, sir. Do you think it is a good idea to prepare for future wars? You know what I'm talking about." He then takes a sip of his beer and looks at the people in front of him.
"If you can kill Valerie." Hero smirks.
"I am sure I can. I already know how to kill that monster." Sur Pancho taps his back and speaks.
"I wish you luck, Hero," then he leaves him alone where he was sitting. Hero looks at the ground, still contemplating how he feels. It is something that makes him worried. Why is he feeling anxious when everything he planned is ready? Is there something unexpected that might happen?
