Chereads / Fun until Your Day / Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Beep beep beep beep "Aaaghh!" With a loud scream, completely shocked by what she was hearing, someone wakes up. The door to the spacious room she's in opens. "What's wrong, Lea?" She hears as her maid walks in. "What was that sound just now?" Asks Lea, sitting in her bed. Only then she realizes that the sound has stopped. "That's something I managed to get you for your birthday yesterday. It's an alarm clock." She points to the object next to her bed. "Why did you get me something so scary, Mei?" Lea says, still sleepy, but relieved. "Why did it make that sound anyway?" The maid looks a little upset, almost pouting. "You know I don't like that you call me that nickname. Anyway, it's to help you wake up, since you always wake up late when it counts. It even turns off when you wake up." The maid looks at the alarm clock. "It seems like it's working." Lea starts to wake up fully and wipes her emerald green eyes. Her long, red hair is completely tangled from her sleeping. "Fine, but can you at least help me get up like usual?" She says in her royally red pajamas, sounding almost defeated. "Of course, that's why I'm here after all."

"Okay, all pretty now!" Lea hops on her toes and smiles away after the long session of brushing her hair and getting dressed. "What to do now…" She wonders for a while after finally deciding on what to do. "I know! Mei, can I pretty please go to the town?" Looking desperately at her maid. She tries to get her to say yes. "Okay, but be back before 12PM so you're on time for lunch and don't get hurt, okay?" "Yay! Okay, I'll try my best!" She hops over to the exit of her spacious castle, larger than she wanted it to be. Suddenly she feels that her foot is misplaced on the ground and accidentally trips over. "Owww" The maid looks at her, doubting her decision, but knowing that she'll be fine, she gives a smile as Lea stands back up and waves at Mei as she continues to leave. "Oh, I forgot to tell her." Mei realizes after the door is closed shut. "I'll tell her when she's back."

"Hellooo everyone!" She barges in as if everyone was waiting for her. "Hey Lea, how are you today?" A big man asks her, cleaning some glasses behind a counter. "I'm doing absolutely perfect like always, bartender." She says with a big smile on her face, happy to see the man. "No need to be so formal with me, just have a seat." She looks around the bar, built out of wooden planks and made so that every square inch could have as many people as possible. "Looks pretty quiet today, nothing going on? Or is something going on and I don't know yet!" She asks with genuine surprise. The bartender looks at her and gives a small chuckle. "No, nothing's going on, don't worry. You're just very early to be in this bar. Usually everyone comes in later when the time is right." Lea looks very interested, which, granted, she does every time the bartender tells her something she wouldn't have known. "Oh, I didn't know that. Now that you mention it, I've never really been here early." The bartender finishes cleaning the last glass. "So, how're you doing otherwise, like with school?" Lea looks away from the bartender. "I don't go to school. I've learnt everything I needed up until now, back when I was five." The bartender looks at her with surprise. "How does that work?" "Even I don't remember." Lea says, with her eyes closed, just to avoid eye contact. "I just did what was expected of me to do. It feels like I just skipped that part of my life. I just remember that one kid…" She sounded a little sad. "Wait, what do you mean, up until now?" The bartender asks. "When I was done, they told me that I was finished up until I was 21." The bartender looks confused, knowing that she had her birthday at the bar yesterday. "How old did you turn again yesterday?"
