As Ethan, Aiden, and Mikhail simultaneously struck Snowy and her companions, sending them flying, they realized this was their chance to eliminate the remaining second-generation demons.
Without hesitation, they unfurled their wings, creating distance from the demons. As they did, their swords of flame began to charge, and in an instant, they were ready.
With a swift motion, the trio unleashed their swords, sending three orange-red beams of seething stellar energy hurtling toward the demons.
The lone third-generation demon, Blacky, was too slow to react. As he watched the attack unfold, he could only think, "Are they really this strong?" Cold sweat dripped down his forehead. Despite his fear, he steeled himself for Morgana's sake, preparing to rally the second-generation demons for a counterattack.
Just as Blacky gathered his resolve and attempted to attack Ethan and his comrades, the angels had already widened the gap. At that moment, a dark communication came through from Atto, helping Blacky regain his composure. He planned to follow Atto's lead and assist Snowy in attacking the angels.
However, the Blazing Bombardment had already been launched. Blacky could only shout warnings to the nearby second-generation demons as he dodged to the side. But it was too late. The other demons couldn't react in time and were incinerated by the fiery onslaught.
When the energy beams dissipated, there was no trace of the second-generation demons left.
"Damn it, Atto, all our brothers are gone..."
Blacky, having narrowly escaped, activated the dark communication, reaching both Atto and Snowy.
Upon receiving the news, Atto and Snowy were stunned. They hadn't expected Ethan and his team to act so swiftly and eliminate the second-generation demons in the blink of an eye.
But there was no time to dwell on it. They had to strike back.
"Atto, contact the sniper squad immediately. Tell them to take any shot they can. Forget everything else, just attack!"
"Understood, I'll contact them now."
After their brief exchange, they regrouped, with Blacky catching up.
"I'll take on Ethan. Atto, you and the others handle the rest. Move out."
Snowy didn't wait for their response. She brandished her beautiful long sword and charged at Ethan with her demonic wings unfurled.
Mid-flight, she swung her sword, conjuring a barrage of icy shards that hurtled toward Ethan and his comrades. Atto and the others followed closely, splitting their targets: Atto went for Aiden while Blacky and Little Blacky targeted Mikhail. The battlefield fragmented into intense skirmishes.
Ethan and his team deftly evaded the dark energy-infused ice shards. Despite their speed, they managed to dodge the attacks. Suddenly, ripples formed behind them, and three micro-wormholes appeared, firing bullets.
"Wormhole sniping! Watch out, those are Godslayer One armor-piercing rounds!"
At the last moment, Ethan, Aiden, and Mikhail tilted their heads, narrowly avoiding the bullets. Recognizing the threat, Ethan warned the others about the deadly rounds.
"This is bad. We don't have a way to defend against these rounds. If we get hit by several..."
Before she could finish, more bullets flew, interrupting their communication. They swiftly dodged, only to face a renewed assault from Snowy and her team.
Using wormhole sniping to disrupt Ethan's group, Snowy and the others seized the opportunity to launch a relentless attack.
"Bang, bang, bang!"
Ethan, Aiden, and Mikhail were hit and sent flying. Yet, the demons did not relent, pressing their advantage with a barrage of dark energy blasts.
"Dammit, dodge!"
Aiden steadied herself, shouting through the dark communication. Ethan and Mikhail quickly regained their composure, narrowly avoiding the blasts.
They knew that if they were hit, the damage would be severe. They were not divine beings.
"Aiden, cover me. We'll use the Heavenly Blade Judgment. Mikhail, block them!"
Regaining her focus, Ethan issued orders to Aiden and Mikhail. Facing constant wormhole sniping, Ethan couldn't perform the Heavenly Blade Judgment alone. She needed Aiden's help to shorten the charging time and turn the tide.
"Hmph, don't mess this up!"
Aiden, always prideful, agreed but had to throw in a jab.
"Got it, Ethan. Aiden, don't worry, I'll hold them off!"
Mikhail, the most reliable of the group, reassured them.
"Move out!"
At Ethan's command, the three charged at the demons. In direct combat, they could completely dominate Snowy and her team. But with the wormhole sniping, they were forced onto the defensive. They needed to go on the offensive to regain control.
Utilizing their angelic genes, they overwhelmed the demons with superior strength, speed, and energy. They struck swiftly, giving the demons no chance to retaliate. Only Snowy managed to block Ethan's attacks with her dark energy-formed ice walls, countering despite the strain.
The battle raged on, with the angels dodging sniper shots while fighting the demons. Eventually, a breakthrough was inevitable.
After another attack on Snowy, Ethan's sword began to crackle with white lightning. Fully charged, she unleashed a lightning blast at Snowy, who, still recovering from the last attack, could barely raise an ice wall in defense.
"Damn it, I'm going to tear you apart!"
Snowy could only muster a weak shield against the lightning. Ethan knew this attack wouldn't kill Snowy but would at least injure and paralyze her.
But the lightning attack had another purpose. Atto, having just been kicked by Aiden, collided with Snowy as the lightning struck, causing them both to bear the brunt of the attack.
Everything was going according to Ethan and Aiden's plan. This was the opening they needed.
"Aiden!"
"Hmph, I know."
As the lightning struck Snowy and Atto, Ethan and Aiden soared into the sky. At a certain height, they halted, raising their flaming swords.
"Connecting to the Sacred Keisha Knowledge Base."
"Requesting Heavenly Blade Judgment."
"Request approved."
The swords began to glow with an orange-red light. Raising them high, Ethan and Aiden quickly charged their energy. With a nod, they brought their swords down in unison, targeting the dazed Snowy and Atto.
"Execute!"
