Escanor hummed and teleported to the balcony and left her place. He just had to get Zenith to give him the stone or ask Zenith to be a little patient with the boy. What could go wrong?
He scratched his head. "I know exactly what could go wrong. Zenith might kill him if he misbehaves. Ah, if I was already a proper mage then I could've taken the kid."
He shouldn't worry about a strange kid like that, but not having options in life was a miserable position to be in. Thinking you only have one thing set in stone for you was equally miserable.
Escanor remembered himself, if he knew that he could've been trained as a mage, he wouldn't have been a Dark Mage.
