NATHAN
"What happened to her?" Her mother was the first to ask as I wondered what I was supposed to do to help her.
Looking at her lifeless body, if it was, was doing harm to me and I could not imagine if I never got to see her beautiful eyes or her beautiful smile anymore. This was not the Jasmine I wanted to take back home. I wanted her to be hale and hearty.
"Why do you care about her now? Did you not leave her to die all those years ago? If she is dead now, what does that change if she was already dead in your mind a long time ago." I asked, completely annoyed at them acting like they cared when I knew they did not and when I knew that they did not want anything good for her.
I would not do the back and forth with them and I would not let them pull me into doing the back and forth with them. There were better things to focus on and the most important one was making sure Jasmine did not die this way.
