As much as the reason I did not want her to go to Finn was for my own selfish reason, I could not tell her that. I had to convince her otherwise, say something that would make her actually believe I was acting in her best interest and make her stay with me.
I could not let her out of my sight for one second for fear of what might happen to her and just because I may not be there when it did. If I was not there just a few hours ago, she might have been dead and the conversation might not be happening in the first place.
"What is going on? Why not? I can't stay here. I can't stay here alone because I know you will not be here and there is no way you expect me to stay here alone. I just can't." She had tears in her eyes which broke me.
"I am sorry, Jasmine. You can't just leave here, it's safer that way."
