But Gladius didn't pause to admire his handiwork. Even as the rift crystals touched the earth, he was already moving again.
With a weightless step that seemed to defy gravity itself, he shifted his trajectory mid-air. His speed increased to seemingly lightning velocity, his form nothing more than a dazzling glow of ice as he reappeared.
