It was hard enough for anyone below Royal Prodigy Mage to attempt to grab a regular Spirit Expert Noble item. Even the Royal Prodigy Mages chose items they knew they could conquer. Something higher seemed impossible for even Royal Tress and the Shadow Noble.
"You!" Royal Tress and the Shadow Noble narrowed their eyes, disbelief simmering within them. Their voices overlapped, a mixture of shock and indignation coloring their tones.
"She—Lady Lyra really going to attempt that?!"
The whispered question raced through the crowd, a mixture of awe and skepticism in equal measure.
The Shadow Noble, his composure slipping further, began to speak. His voice, usually smooth as silk, now held a tremor of uncertainty. "Tch. You can't possibly—"
