Instead of countering with his own rage, Gladius merely curled his brows, his expression genuinely plastered in confusion since the words Zephyr spoke did not describe reality as he understood it. "I'm afraid you've misunderstood the situation, Zephyr. My relationship with Arianna, and my friendship with Lyra, are not mutually exclusive. Nor are they any of your concern."
"He..." Mira pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration, muttering under her breath, "This idiot is going to get himself killed."
"Zephyr..." Aria sighed, her gaze that was always bright when facing Zephyr now laced with heavy disappointment. She took a step back, physically and emotionally distancing herself from his outburst.
Even the stoic Talon shook his head in disappointment over his friend's jealous rage. His hand hovered near his magical staff, unsure if he would need to intervene to protect Zephyr from his own foolishness.
