When Rachel Bowman jolted awake from sleep, her whole body was soaked with sweat, and she was even trembling all over. She didn't understand what happened when she passed out after giving birth, but she was uneasy. The dream was too real to be ignored.
Looking around dazedly, she noticed Iris standing at the window. Her gaze was fixed on a distant scenery, but she looked quite forlorn.
"Sis," Rachel had called out, only for her sister to turn around and stare at her with an unreadable gaze.
"Rachel, are you okay?" Iris was glad that her sister woke up at the time when her child was safely sleeping beside her. She couldn't even imagine what it would have been like if the outcome had been different from what it was.
