Manager Torres collapsed into her seat as soon as the finance manager asked if anything was wrong with her eyes. It was over for her, and she knew he said that intentionally, yet she could still do nothing about it. If anything, she felt insulted by his feigned ignorance.
'Just you wait. I'll fire you immediately this witch leaves here. Just you wait.' Manager Torres didn't consider that she was rather in hot soup. To top it all off, Iris could hear her thoughts, but she didn't know.
"Good. Let's get to it then." Iris prompted. The Finance Manager had searched for this opportunity for ages- alerting the boss that the Manager of Marina Mall could run it into bankruptcy with her embezzlement of funds.
After ten minutes of listening, Iris concluded on one thing; Manager Torres had been stealing from the company since the day she resumed work. If not, she didn't see any other way the woman would have siphoned almost one million dollars from company accounts.
