"Huh?" Iris raised her head and met her fiance's probing gaze. She was tongue-tied at his question, and didn't know what to say. If she told him that she was crying because she heard the conversation between Rachel and Flynn, Tyler would call her out for blatantly eavesdropping on the two people.
Meanwhile, she already blurted out that she wasn't eavesdropping, anyway.
Well, technically, what happened at the door couldn't necessarily be described as eavesdropping, when she didn't do it intentionally.
"I wasn't… I wasn't eavesdropping…" Iris just covered her eyes with both hands and leaned her back against the wall.
"Why were you crying just now?"

The sudden ringing of Tyler's phone broke the silence, giving Iris the chance to have a breather. She finally believed that other people's fear of her fiance ran deep. All she needed was a cold look from Tyler, to make her go weak in the knee.
