"You might want to turn on the television." Iris informed Asher, who only reached for the remote to avoid spiting Iris. Spread on the table before him were drinks and pastries of various kinds. Everything he loved and missed was right there staring him in the face. Asher didn't know what Iris planned, but he swore not to touch a single morsel of food until his Dad and sister stood before him, safe and sound. Not even a drop of water entered his system, though Asher was dying of thirst.
