Nicholas stared at the mighty immortal he had grown to know, wondering what the future held for him and his wife. He knew there was no way the man would perish, but the woman was just a human. Unlike immortals, who would never die, humans were fickle, and their lifespan was woefully short.
Moreover, seeing how the two people loved each other, he was sure Lord Alaric wouldn't make it without his wife. He loved her too much to lose her so soon.

The kingdon of Koslos needs you, Lord Alaric…" Just like every other day that he spoke to the two unconscious people as if they could hear him, he began his speech again.
