"Even if she charmed you, my slaps should reset your brain, you unfilial son!" Two more slaps followed the statement, before Mrs Capsian relaxed a little.
She felt as though she was punching cotton, as Drew Capsian didn't utter a single word in response to his mother's onslaught of attacks. He only stood as a human shield in front of Cyrina. He didn't wish for her to experience anything that would traumatise her further.
Mrs Capsian then pointed a shaky finger toward Drew and voiced out her frustration.
"Are you just going to remain silent like you don't know what I'm saying? What! Proving dumb now, Drew? Or, have you forgotten everything about your sister because of her?"
"Mom, did you see me anywhere near Penelope? Why am I being accused here?"
"Did you not send the police to arrest your innocent sister?"
