Ning Xingchen was absolutely right. Wu Haifeng was exactly that type of person—a thug-like demeanor, full of arrogance, treating ordinary people with disdain just because he had some money. From a young age, he taught his son Wu Bei that it was okay to bully others because if anything went wrong, his father would cover for him.
Over the years, Wu Haifeng's business had been relatively successful, making him even more arrogant. He thought highly of himself, believing he was a well-respected figure in Donghai City. Wherever he went, people would give him face and respectfully call him Boss Wu.
As a result, many honest people were bullied by Wu Haifeng, and numerous young girls were humiliated. Wu Bei was simply following in his father's footsteps, absorbing these behaviors. With such a poor role model, it was no wonder the son turned out bad.
A bad tree cannot produce good fruit. The Wu family, both father and son, were nothing but scum.
"You're talking crap! Qin Bao'er beat my son like this, and you think you're in the right? Do you believe I won't spend money to have you killed?" Wu Haifeng finally revealed his true nature. Always arrogant and dismissive of others, he couldn't take Ning Xingchen's ridicule without retaliating, and it wasn't in his nature not to curse back.
Hearing this, Su Zihan frowned, her eyes flashing with disgust.
She detested those who used power and money to oppress others. Wu Haifeng's disgusting arrogance made Su Zihan want to slap him. Unconsciously, she sided with Qin Bao'er, firmly believing everything Qin Bao'er said was true.
"You think you're rich?" Ning Xingchen couldn't help but laugh. Wu Haifeng's words were like an ant threatening to take on an elephant—utterly ignorant!
"Haha, not too bad. I make a few million a year," Wu Haifeng boasted, shaking his wrist adorned with an expensive watch, displaying the stereotypical image of a brainless rich man.
"Sigh, you really don't know who I am, do you? Showing off your wealth in front of me is just asking for trouble!" Ning Xingchen sighed, his tone filled with sarcasm towards Wu Haifeng.
"Screw you! Stop pretending in front of me. Have Qin Bao'er kneel and apologize to my son and pay a million in medical expenses, or I'll have your entire family killed!" Wu Haifeng, displeased with Ning Xingchen's mysterious confidence, stepped forward to grab Ning Xingchen's collar, ready to show him some real fear.
Wu Haifeng's insult triggered a flicker of murderous intent in Ning Xingchen's eyes. If they weren't at the school, in a quiet, secluded place, Wu Haifeng would have already been a cold corpse.
Just as Wu Haifeng was about to make a move, Su Zihan couldn't stand it any longer and stepped forward to stop him and reprimand him. But suddenly, she noticed a strong energy surging around Ning Xingchen.
Su Zihan glanced at Ning Xingchen in surprise, realizing something beyond shock—she felt a thrill she couldn't quite explain.
Buzz!
Before Wu Haifeng could touch Ning Xingchen's collar, a booming sound echoed through the air. With a slight force, Ning Xingchen sent Wu Haifeng flying across the room, crashing into the office window.
The window glass shattered, falling onto Wu Haifeng. Worse still, a few potted plants on the windowsill toppled onto Wu Haifeng's head. In an instant, Wu Haifeng's ears rang, his vision filled with stars, and his head felt like it would explode. His body ached as if his bones were falling apart, leaving him collapsed on the ground, unable to stand.
...
The office fell silent. Director Yang stared at Ning Xingchen in shock. What kind of power was this? It was terrifying!
A light push had sent someone flying that far—only a martial arts master could achieve such a feat!
Qin Bao'er, equally amazed, felt a rush of excitement. She had never known her Brother Xingchen was so strong, capable of sending someone flying with one move. Her admiration for Ning Xingchen was boundless, evident on her face.
"Dad, are you okay?" Wu Bei exclaimed, his eyes wide in shock. Seeing the pool of blood on the ground, he was terrified. After all, he was just a middle schooler and had never seen such a scene.
Only Su Zihan seemed unsurprised, instead appearing delighted, as if she had discovered a treasure.
"A martial arts expert! This is a martial arts expert!" Su Zihan looked at Ning Xingchen, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Su Zihan's identity was unusual. She knew many hidden things about this world. For instance, the move Ning Xingchen just used was a form of internal energy. It wasn't just one person—he could probably punch through a tank, leaving a massive dent.
Ning Xingchen, with a cold demeanor, didn't realize he had already piqued Su Zihan's curiosity and interest.
Despite being beaten, Wu Haifeng's pride was hurt. He struggled to stand, pointing at Ning Xingchen, and cursed, "You bastard! I think you're tired of living, hitting me like that. I'll have your entire family killed!"
Wu Haifeng was furious, spouting the most vicious threats he could muster. He was seething, humiliated that as a rich man, he was bullied by a nobody. He couldn't swallow this indignation!
Ning Xingchen swiftly stepped forward and slapped Wu Haifeng hard across the face.
Smack!
A crisp sound echoed as Wu Haifeng's face twisted, his body falling backward. His face swelled like a bun, completely disfigured.
Insulting Ning Xingchen's family crossed a line.
"If you want to die right now, just repeat what you said," Ning Xingchen said coldly.
"You bastard! I won't let you off!" Wu Haifeng, dizzy and seeing stars, could barely see straight.
"Hmph, you're just trash!" Ning Xingchen kicked Wu Haifeng in the chest, sending him flying.
Seeing Ning Xingchen ready to strike again, Director Yang hurriedly stepped in to stop him. If this continued, someone would end up dead. Ning Xingchen was too strong; an adult man had no chance against him!
"Sir, please stop. We called you here to resolve the children's conflict. If you keep this up, we'll have to involve the police!" Director Yang was a peacemaker, trying to mediate.
"Director Yang, you're right, but you're nothing here. I'll have the principal handle this," Ning Xingchen replied nonchalantly, showing no respect for Director Yang.
"Damn it! Go to the principal's office and find Principal Dai. I'll make sure you regret this!" Wu Haifeng continued to shout, holding his chest. He seemed to have some kind of backing.
