Ethan understood Yahvé's instructions and tried to follow them with determination, aware that Teti still seemed reluctant to end him immediately. Taking advantage of this, he launched an attack, pressing with all his shadows and advancing toward Teti. He knew he had to get close enough to force him on the defensive, as if he continued his attack, they would all soon be dead.
However, the moment he was close enough to strike, Teti smiled and launched a void sphere directly at him. Ethan, with quick reflexes, managed to dodge it by a hair's breadth, feeling the burning void pass centimeters from his face.
Teti laughed cruelly.
"If you can't dodge that, there's no point in keeping you alive, Ethan," he declared with a grim smile. "I tried to be reasonable, but since you wouldn't join me willingly, I'll make sure you do so the hard way. And I assure you, it's going to hurt… a lot."
