Neith observed Ethan with a mix of curiosity and concern, pondering how he had broken the illusion that had trapped them just moments ago.
"Tell me, how did you manage to break that illusionist magic?" she asked, her eyes fixed on him. Her tone was so neutral that it gave no hint of whether she was impressed or worried.
Ethan, completely calm, explained:
"When I was trying to escape my own illusion… I tried something improvised. I put mana into my eyes, as if trying to see the essence of the illusion," he said, touching his eyes unconsciously. "Suddenly… I saw strange threads floating in the air, connected to everything around me. Although it took a lot of effort, I managed to cut them. By doing that… the illusion broke."
Neith sighed, shaking her head.
"What you did was reckless, Ethan. Don't ever dare do that in the real world, understand?"
Ethan raised an eyebrow, not entirely grasping the severity in Neith's warning.
