Ethan was in his office; the cave had already been secured by eliminating the two most powerful enemies from the equation. Although there were still enemies throughout the cave, the armed Ratkin could handle them. Ethan, for his part, was contemplating the recent episode with Arachne and the jealous looks he had received from Yassmin, Lyra, and, surprisingly, Aria. He understood why Yassmin and Lyra might be jealous, but Aria… he couldn't understand it. He sighed, running a hand through his hair in a gesture of frustration.
Neith, who was sitting in a nearby chair, observed him with a playful smile.
"Ethan, dear, women are complex creatures, and sometimes our feelings are not that obvious," Neith said with a seductive voice. "But don't worry, this queen will talk to them. In the meantime, you should focus on finding a special gift for each of them. You can't just be attentive to one and not the others."
