After having spoken with Lucifer, he left without waiting for Ethan to ask more questions. They had arrived at the small island that housed the portal, and in front of them, the floating islands separating them from the prison created a surreal landscape. The great central island seemed so distant, surrounded by the void of the cosmos, but it was the center of everything, and where they might find what they were searching for.
"It looks like falling here would be dangerous," Anuket remarked, watching the void between them and the larger island intently. "We need to be careful. I don't want to find out what happens if we fall."
Ethan nodded. There was something in the atmosphere that he didn't like; the very air seemed to be charged with a dense and chaotic energy.
