Lucifer's eyes narrowed, noticing the determination in Ethan's gaze. He could see the unyielding will within Ethan. He could sense that he was ready to use force if necessary, and in a way, he understood. But he also knew that he couldn't allow someone with such determination to move unrestricted in such a delicate matter.
"You're really stubborn," Lucifer murmured with a slight smile, though his tone remained serious. "I don't doubt your conviction, but I can't just let you act without guarantees."
He turned fully to face Ethan, and after a long sigh, he offered an alternative.
"Alright. I'll let you use the portal, but only on one condition," Lucifer said. "You will have to take an oath, a sacred one. You will submit to an angelic pact magic."
Ethan raised an eyebrow, interested but cautious. He wasn't familiar with that magic, but it was quite obvious that this sacred oath was not something to be taken lightly.
