With the battle resolved, Thor was already set on leaving. Thaiel then stepped in front of Ethan to say goodbye. Although they weren't great friends, after living and working together, Thaiel had developed great respect for Ethan, but he had no intention of admitting it.
"The next time we meet, I promise I'll beat you up for getting me involved in all of this, so you better get really strong because I'm going to do exactly the same," Thaiel said with a slightly forced smile, though his eyes sparkled with determination.
Ethan smiled faintly, somewhat reluctant to let him leave with Thor. If Thaiel had wanted to stay, Ethan would have fought against the god of thunder without hesitation. But since Thaiel had accepted, he had no choice but to respect his decision.
"I'll be waiting for that moment," Ethan responded, extending his hand.
