Chase knocked on his sister's door but no response was heard. He tried two more times, still nothing. He knew that she didn't like what he was about to do yet he still did it: He barged in there. She was lying on her bed, with her head on her pillow.
'You can't do that master.' Tridius telepathically told him but Chase ignored that as he closed the door behind him and sat on her bed.
Lily's room was bigger than Chase's. It's more like, Chase got given the smaller room and all the girls got given the bigger room. Even the guest room was bigger. Lily's room had white washed walls and led lights around her room that could change colours. 3 small plants could be found near her window that she took good care of. She had a small bookshelf filled with scientific books, romance novels and school books as well as a desk with a grey PC on top. Her wardrobe was quite big and took one-third of her room and various chargers could be found on the floor. God knows what those chargers were used for.
"Hey, I know that you're not sleeping, " He told her, "want to talk about it?"
No answer.
"Alright." Chase said, sighing as he got up, however Lily grabbed his sleeve, making him sit back down. "What's wrong?"
"What do you mean what's wrong!? What happened to you?" She asked, yet her voice was muffled as her head was still buried in her pillow.
"What do you mean?" He knew exactly what she meant.
"I mean a couple of years ago you were this kind, pacifist guy but then you suddenly disappeared and now you're back, looking and acting like a different person all of a sudden." She said as she turned to face him. "Even being able to defeat Lucas."
"People change Lily." He told her as he shrugged.
"If the old you had gotten in a fight with Lucas, you wouldn't be standing in front of me unscathed."
He slightly smiled.
"Say Chase, " Lily said, "were those explosions also your doing?"
"Which ones?" He asked, pretending to be confused.
"The one a couple of minutes ago."
"No." He lied.
"What about the one at school? You must have been there." She said, trying to dig deeper into the causes of the explosions.
"Nah, " He denied it, "me and aunt Maria were half way across town when that happened." Another lie. As much as the old him despised lying to Lily, the current him saw no reason as to tell her his business.
"I see, " She replied as she stood up and grabbed her brother's wrists, "now get out."
"Huh why?" He asked, clearly taken aback by her order.
"I need to change and I would rather you not be inside this room." She explained.
"Aight." Chase got up and walked towards the door, "I hope you don't tell mum or Lazuli about what happened at school."
"Why not?"
"Just don't tell them anything."
"FIne, " She replied, "now shoo."
Chase nodded and exited her bedroom.

LILIANA'S POV
I didn't know what to do.
At one point my brother was this kind, smiling person, someone who never got angry or even if he did, he never expressed it. Well, that might have been out of fear for his life as he always used to come back home seriously injured. One day he would come back with blood on his clothes, another day would be broken bones and another day his face would be wet for some reason or even have scars on them. I don't want to go into details and, I don't want to remember all those times I left him to fend for himself.
It was partially my fault, I admit it. I mean, sometimes I did protect him from others but at some point, it became overwhelming. Always having to watch over him like a kid and sometimes getting beat up instead of him, it made me distance myself from him even though I did like my brother. Every time Chase came home looking like a wreck, he would usually get an earful from mother or she would beat him and, when I was coming back injured instead of him, she would be very cross with me but say nothing still, she would beat and insult him for being weak and getting me in trouble.
Lazuli and I didn't intervene whenever he was getting beat by mother, only aunt Maria would. She was Chase's main supporter and for some reason, she likes him more than the rest of the family even though he is the weakest and is a thorn in society's side as well as the family's.
I regret not being there for him when he disappeared that day. If I had still been protecting him, maybe none of this would have happened and maybe I could have gotten the family to come to like him but I knew that that was impossible.
When people caught wind of him disappearing, nobody seemed to care. Well, only aunt Maria did. She was looking for him at least five times a day but to no avail. She tried getting the whole family to help her in her search but, they were all uninterested and laughed when they heard of his disappearance. Even mother hadn't shown any concern for him when he still wasn't there the next day or even the week after or the month after that and Lazuli had forgotten about him. I mean, he was just a side character or a character that only appears once in a series for half a second, a passerby.
Don't get me wrong, I did go look for him but, not as much as aunt Maria did. I went looking for him once every 2 weeks for about 20 minutes then I returned home, feeling pretty accomplished (I know it wasn't enough but keep in mind that mother didn't want me to be out more than necessary).
Then one day, he showed up again but this time, he looked like whole different person: The smiling Chase had turned into an angry Chase however, his smiles throughout all these years were probably fake. I wonder, when was the last time he genuinely smiled? On his birthdays? Not probable. For about 11 years, nobody celebrated his birthday. Everytime it was his birthday, aunt Maria would try to come celebrate with him but, she always had something to do that day, almost as if someone was purposely making her miss his birthdays. I couldn't convince mother to celebrate his birthday as we would always go out on those days and be out till 11pm. So I didn't have much influence.
When Chase had come back, I was happy but at the same time sad: Happy because I got to see him again but sad because of the fact that the bullying might restart. When he came back, I didn't know how to interact with him. Believe me, today was the first time I managed to talk to him even just for a bit. Before, I would avoid him since I didn't know how to face him but, ever since I saw him beating up Lucas and his friends, I wanted to ask him questions but as expected, he didn't tell me anything but I can guarantee you that he must have told aunt Maria something... right?
Anyways, I'm quite scared of this Chase to be honest. He injured a lot of students and I think that some of those students might even be dead yet, no one at school spoke about that incident. Sure you could say that they were all in shock and couldn't believe their eyes but it's still pretty weird. They were pretty much scared of talking about it as Chase could have- No, I don't want to talk about what could have happened to them, it makes me sick to just think about it.
The explosions that were heard a couple of minutes ago might have been caused by him but I'm in doubt since Chase would never blow up the school... that might have been the science department again. It's always them. But the one in the forest, I'm not too sure about who caused it since Chase was supposedly with aunt Maria.
Anyways, I do hope that he doesn't get in trouble anymore and this time, I'll try talking to him again.
Ah, I forgot to tell him... Father passed by.
