After finishing their breakfast, Luke pushed his chair back and stood up, giving a small nod of gratitude to Miriel for the meal. The old woman had been kind enough to house them and feed them, but Luke knew they couldn't linger here forever. They had a destination—Virencia—and the clock was ticking.
"I think it's time I head to the trade building," Luke said, turning to Ilyrana. "Admiral should have riders who handle routes to Virencia. If I can find one and strike a deal, we can be on our way soon."
Ilyrana, still finishing her tea, looked up at him thoughtfully.
"That makes sense. Virencia is a major city, right? Surely some merchants travel back and forth regularly."
"Exactly," Luke replied, adjusting his cloak as he prepared to leave. "If I can find one that goes straight there without too many stops, we'll save a lot of time."
