Chapter 103 - Under the Open Sky

As dusk settled over the wilderness, Luke and Sir Carrick found a suitable spot to make camp for the night. The sun had dipped below the horizon, leaving the sky painted in deep purples and oranges, while the first stars began to peek through. The road to Balmoral had been long, and both men welcomed the chance to rest.

Luke set down his shoulder bag, surveying the area. The ground was relatively flat, and the surrounding trees provided a natural barrier from the wind. He pulled out his sleeping bag, the only piece of camping gear he had managed to squeeze into his pack.

Sir Carrick, on the other hand, was already unloading a small tent from the carriage. The tiger that had been pulling the carriage now lay resting nearby, its eyes half-closed as it kept a silent watch. Luke couldn't help but admire how the tiger had adapted to its role, both as a beast of burden and as a companion.
