For the next several days, Luke spent most of his time with the man he had decided to name Archimedes. After hearing the man repeatedly mutter "Eureka"—a term Luke knew was famously attributed to the ancient Greek mathematician—he chose the name as a fitting homage. When Luke asked the man if he remembered his name, the man just stared blankly as if the concept of a name was something long forgotten or irrelevant to him.
The more time Luke spent with Archimedes, the more he saw the man gradually shed his wild, erratic behaviour. The strange antics and cryptic mutterings faded as the days passed, replaced by a more coherent and calm demeanour. It was as if a veil had been lifted from Archimedes' mind, allowing the brilliance within to shine through. The transformation was remarkable; Archimedes was becoming more rational, and more lucid, with each passing day.
