Luke paced the room, his hands running through his hair as he tried to steady his breathing. Shesha, calm but visibly tense, was crouched near the table, inspecting the papers they'd uncovered. Her brow furrowed as she shuffled through them, sorting what seemed important from what could safely be left behind.
"We can't just walk out of here," Luke muttered, his voice low. "Not with guards outside and whoever the hell those people were hanging around."
"We won't," Shesha replied, her tone steady despite the situation. "We'll blend in like we did coming in. But we need a distraction first."
Luke glanced at her, his mind racing. A distraction. Something subtle but effective. His eyes landed on an unlit lantern in the corner of the room.
"Fire?" he suggested, half-joking.
Shesha shook her head.
"Too risky. We don't want to burn this place down—or draw attention to ourselves."
