Luke staggered backwards, his lungs burning and his legs trembling as he narrowly avoided another vicious swing of the elf's blade. The sheer force of her attacks left deep gouges in the walls, and the metallic ring of her sword filled the narrow space. Sweat dripped into his eyes, blurring his vision, but he couldn't afford to falter.
Desperately, Luke darted toward the entrance, the only escape route he could think of. But the female elf was too fast—she moved like a shadow, effortlessly blocking his path. Her blade gleamed ominously in the dim light as she levelled it at him.
"Running won't save you," she snarled, her voice dripping with disdain. "Humans are always so predictable."
Luke held his hands defensively, panting as he tried to reason with her again.
"Look, I don't know your deal, but I swear, I'm not here to hurt anyone! I got lost, okay? Can we just—"
