Luke had just finished his work at the stable for the day. The evening sky was painted in hues of orange and purple, and the air carried a gentle breeze that signalled the coming of night. He handed the reins of his last task to Sigmund, receiving his payment for the day with a tired but satisfied smile. Just as Luke was about to head back to the house, he noticed Sigmund was bustling about, looking like he was getting ready to go somewhere.
The sight made Luke pause. It wasn't usual to see Sigmund in such a hurry at this hour. Normally, by this time, the stable master would be winding down, ready to call it a day. Curiosity piqued, Luke decided to ask.
"Sigmund, where are you heading? It's pretty late, isn't it?" Luke questioned. He knew it might be personal, but the question slipped out naturally. After all, they were working together now, and Luke felt like they were on the same page regarding the lioness's condition.
