Long story short, our titular protagonist Scott Pilgrim went from a post-heartbreak mess denying the need to change into a mature young adult who finds the need to try and change a good thing, though it took him awhile. He went from dating a high schooler to beating 7 evil exes all in the name of love. Though it was a rocky path he took, it ultimately led him to be more understanding, accepting and mature and in the end, he did get the girl.

In another version of this story we are met with Ramona Flowers, our main protagonist's love interest. In this one we are introduced the same but ultimately it leads to our protagonist going missing leading Ramona to fill that role. As we go through her search for her missing lover, she is forced to confront the past she ran away from, her exes. As we go through her story of fighting, aiding, and talking to her past lovers she gains insight on what she was like while slowly but surely getting close to finding Scott Pilgrim. In the end Ramona and Scott was forced to confront a future evil ex, Even Older Scott, after finding out Scott was taken by his future self. Long story short she came to terms with herself and found solace in settling down with Scott ending the evil ex line.

Well, both seem to mature in their own ways finding ways to accept themselves and understand what they're missing. But let's try and look at someone else in this one, fresh new characters mingling with well-known one, this timeline diverges from the previous two while maintaining the same events.

Cifer Powers, our gray-haired character this time is our new protagonist for this timeline. A new character taking the place of Julie Powers' older brother. Well-connected and much older than the rest of the cast at 27-years-old. Well, that's all we'll know about him for now, let's find out more as we go.
