What Do We See When We Look Up Into the Night Sky?
When we look up into the night sky, we often find ourselves mesmerized by the vastness and beauty above us. The inky black expanse is dotted with twinkling stars, each one a distant sun, burning brightly in the infinite darkness. Occasionally, the silvery glow of the moon casts a gentle light, creating a serene, almost magical, atmosphere.
The stars begin to emerge, one by one, forming familiar constellations that have guided explorers and fascinated sky watchers for millennia. The cool night air is often accompanied by a refreshing breeze, rustling the leaves and bringing a sense of calm.
In this familiar and timeless spectacle, we rarely anticipate anything out of the ordinary. We gaze upwards, expecting the same celestial bodies we've always known. The stars, moon, and the occasional meteor streaking across the sky are what we expect to see. The vastness of space, although filled with wonders, remains a distant realm, far removed from our everyday experiences.
And definitely not expect a 4 meter blond man with long hair and glasses which are more like visor, that a usual sunglasses.
Goliath had just left Bayside when the men in green and the men in black arrived. The green-clad soldiers were there for the general, while the men in black came to apprehend the "green freak." The freak was destined for a special prison, one that held supervillains—many of whom had been put there by Goliath himself.
As he moved away from the scene, Goliath's mind wandered. Chiefly, he thought about the visor on his face, which, when deactivated, were his favorite gold-rimmed glasses. "These are so comfortable," he mentally rejoiced. "How Tony managed to make them, I'll never understand."
Tony Stark had modified Goliath's standard goggles, transforming them into a sophisticated mini-computer. While they had numerous capabilities, Goliath primarily used them for one purpose: to calculate his jumps. With complex algorithms and other high-tech enhancements that Goliath barely comprehended, these goggles could determine the exact force he needed to jump, the distance he would cover, and his precise landing spot.
Moreover, the goggles could morph into their current form—a sleek, dark gold visor. Tony had designed them to ensure they remained secure on Goliath's face, regardless of the altitude or speed.
Additionally, these glasses could be linked via Bluetooth to his phone and receive voice commands. That's how he made his note, waiting for the Hulk to call. "Bruce Branner was his name, Professor Banner...Or something else..." Goliath thought as he began his descent from a great height. His body gained tremendous speed, yet air pressure posed no problem for him. His overall defenses slightly strengthened, creating a faint golden aura around his body.
"Banner. Yes, Banner. The General has already stopped leading the hunt for the Hulk, I hope so. The old man is not one to break his word, and I will not let someone who is now under my protection be in danger."
Goliath had managed to talk to Banner for a bit, and from that conversation, poor Banner ended up in a better position. He now had Goliath's personal number and protection. Banner struggled to understand why he was offered such help—money, a house, even his own lab was Goliath's offer. He needed time to think about it all, so Thomas asked him to call later.
What Banner didn't know, however, was that Goliath had his reasons. "Hopefully, some alone time away from the eternal chase will help him subdue the Hulk... Gotta reread my notes on this place again," Goliath
Years ago, when Thomas realized where he was, he began making meticulous notes, trying to remember everything about the 2012 Avengers movie.
He documented causes, characters, actions—everything he could recall. Most importantly, he focused on the evacuation. He hoped and prayed that he could predict the moment when those alien invaders would appear, allowing him to notify the government in advance and use his reputation to evacuate the city.
Thomas didn't know exactly how far off these events were, but as soon as SHIELD announced Loki's presence on Earth, he would begin full preparations and set the stage for the alien invasion. He knew it would take some brainstorming, and Tony Stark would be a great help. Maybe even the new heroes that had been emerging lately could assist. He might even borrow SHIELD's idea and organize the Avengers himself.
These were idle thoughts running through Goliath's head as he fell from a great height. Falling was kind of boring, and it was fortunate his destination was close. "Tony's mansion, okay, this is his backyard," he thought, squinting as the ground came closer.
Tony had called recently, asking if Thomas was free. Thomas, having no pressing engagements, replied that he wasn't busy. The genius billionaire had requested his company, mentioning that he had something interesting to show him—something cool, something innovative, and he needed help.
While Goliath wouldn't mind taking some time off to relax and play some computer games, he couldn't turn down a request for help from a friend. Not when someone he cared about was asking for it. Apparently, Tony himself was eagerly anticipating his arrival. "Almost...what's on his arm?" Goliath mused as he descended.
As he neared the ground, he prepared to land with precision. Channeling power into his legs, he targeted the center of Tony's yard. With practiced ease, he braced for impact.
He landed strongly, and a small wave of force radiated outwards, but the ground—or whatever resilient material Tony's floor was made of—held firm, perfectly withstanding the impact. Goliath's powerful descent left no mark, a testament to both his control and Tony's engineering..
With a determined expression, Goliath's visor retracted, revealing his favorite gold-rimmed glasses. He placed them on his forehead and looked around. His gaze immediately fell on Tony, who was approaching with a curious silver glove covering his hand and extending up his shoulder. Tony was sweaty, dressed in a T-shirt with his arc reactor glowing faintly underneath.
"Tony," Goliath greeted with a nod, noting the intense look of concentration on his friend's face.
"Hey, nice landing. When's there gonna be a superhero landing like in those old comics? I bet your fans are going to love this shot!" Tony exclaimed, a grin breaking through his focused expression.
Thomas smiled and said, "Everyone should have their own thing, right? The superhero landing is a bit cliché, too childish I say"
"You're a hardcore fan, I forget, my bad. "
"I know what you mean, so fuck you, what's with the glove?"
Tony chuckled, flexing his hand inside the device. "This? It's part of a new project I've been working on. Thinking of full suit. But I'll explain everything inside. Follow me."

(A/N) I can't call this is a chapter, too small, but it need for algorithm, next one will be bigger, I promise.
Maybe Thomas will organize the Avengers. Spider-Man and many other young heroes are coming soon. And the battle with the monsters is coming soon too. In the meantime, we wait.
