THE NEXT DAY...
"Princess Lyra, Prince Ryder is here" my maid said
"Ok let him in"
"Yes my princess"she bowed and left
I took a deep breath, smoothing out my dress and mentally preparing myself for Prince Ryder. I had heard stories about his charm and charisma and I was curious to see if they were true.
As the door opened, Prince Ryder walked in, his tall frame and broad shoulders commanding attention. His piercing blue eyes sparkled with warmth and his bright smile could light up a room. He bowed low, his long dark hair falling forward.
"Princess Lyra, it's an honour to finally meet you" he said, his voice deep and smooth.
I smiled feeling a sense of ease wash over me. "The pleasure is mine Prince Ryder. Welcome to my home."
As we exchanged pleasantries, I couldn't help but notice the difference between Prince Ryder and Prince Kael. Prince Kael was dark and mysterious while Prince Ryder was radiant and approachable. Both princes have their own unique charm and I found myself enjoying Prince Ryder's warm and friendly demeanor.
"I once again welcome you to Avarian, the kingdom of witches." I said.
Prince Ryder's eyes sparkled with interest. "Avarian, a kingdom of witches... I've heard stories but I never thought I'd have the privilege of seeing it for myself."
He glanced around the room, taking in the amazing designs and shimmering crystals that adorned the walls. "Your kingdom is even more beautiful than I imagined. I can feel the magic in the air with a life of it's own."
I smiled, proud of my heritage. "Yes, Avarian is a special place. Our magic is woven into the very fabric of our existence."
He gazed at me "I'm eager to learn more about your magic princess, and perhaps, I could share some of my own secrets from the dragon kingdom." I found myself intrigued with the prospect of learning more about the dragon's magic.
"I would love that and can we not keep things so professional" I sigh "it's so stressful, just call me Lyra" I said feeling akward and he smiled at me.
"Lyra then! I'm Ryder. It's a relief to drop the formalities, it can be suffocating at times" he chuckled and I smiled "I'm glad we can be ourselves around each other, Lyra. It's not often I meet someone as enchanting as you."
His words sent a flutter to my chest and I felt a blush rise to my cheeks. "Enchanting?" I repeated trying to sound calm and totally fine despite my racing heart.
Ryder's grin grew wider. "Yes enchanting. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better."
I sensed a connection between us and that went beyond mere friends.
I had shown Ryder around the house when my mom walked in. "Mother."
