I'm Lyra, 17 years of age. I'm a witch but I have another power that's been undiscovered, most people call it my untamed magic because I can't control it.
Today the elders held a meeting, there's a dark force threatening Luminaria's fragile peace. My mom is the queen of the witches so as the heir, I was present at the meeting and there I met the heir of the vampire kingdom, Prince Kael.
As I stood in the grand hall surrounded by the esteemed elders and representatives of the supernatural communities, my eyes locked into his. Prince Kael's piercing gaze sent a shiver down my spine. His chiseled features and a Raven black hair made him look like a mysterious prince from a fairy tale.
Our introduction was brief but the tension between us was high. I sensed an aura of power around him and my untamed magic stirred restlessly as if responding to an unspoken challenge.
The meeting concluded with a grave warning. A dark force, known only as the shadow threatened to destroy Luminaria's delicate balance. The elders tasked each family with forming an alliance to counter it.
As the gathering dispersed, Prince Kael approached me and I became nervous. "Lyra we need to talk" he said , his low voice sending a thrill through me.
"Our families' fate and perhaps ours depends on it."
"Okay" I said and we moved over to a secluded area. "What is it?" I asked
Prince Kael scanned our surroundings ensuring we're out of ear shot. "Lyra I've heard rumors about your unpredictable magic. Some say it's wild, untamed and dangerous" he paused, his gaze piercing mine "I believe it's the key to defeating the shadow"
"My family's ancient text speak of a witch with uncontrollable power, one who can harness the elements and bend the darkness to her will. I think you're that witch Lyra."
His words sent a shiver down my spine. No one had ever spoken so bluntly about my magic before.
"What makes you think I'm the one?" I asked, my heart racing with a mix of excitement and nervousness.
He smiled at me "Let's just say I have my reasons. Will you help me unconver the truth about your magic?. Together we might be able to save our families and Luminaria from the Shadow's grasp."
"I'll do anything to protect Luminaria and my people" i said to him determined.
His eyes flashed with admiration. "I knew I was right about you Lyra. Together we'll unconver the secrets of your magic and defeat the shadow." He extended his hands and I took it, feeling a surge of energy and determination.
As our hands touched, a sudden vision burst forth in my mind's eye: a dark forest, a glowing crescent Moon and a ancient tome bound in black leather. The images vanished as quickly as they appeared, leaving me breathless.
"What was that?" I asked, my heart racing.
