After hours of a what had now become an intense journey thanks to the fears of another attack, by evening time the group finally came to stop in a small city and Kael decided that they would spend the night there.
It was a small enough town with few inhabitants that if anything out of the ordinary appeared they would be alerted immediately and be able to react quickly. He ordered Nougera to find lodging for the warriors as the first inn they stopped at was too small and would not be able to take all of them.
The warriors would have to settle for someone's barn because that inn was the only one for miles. Nougera left with most of the warriors, leaving only a handful of them to stay behind and serve as guards for the king.
