After learning about Selena's disappearance I was very much disturbed. What could my sweet little girl be doing so deep into the night, what if something happens to her, I have an unsettling feeling in my heart.
" Let's check her phone for her friends numbers" Steven suggested picking up her phone. " Do you know her pin" I asked.
" No idea, I thought you know" he replied. " Why don't we try her birthday maybe it's the pin" I replied. " Wrong pin" he said after trying. Then what could her pin be.
" Try her birth year" I suggested again. " Wrong pin" he replied again. This is our last chance otherwise the phone would lock itself for an hour and nothing can be done afterwards.
" Let's try your birthday" he suggested. Well I wasn't sure but maybe it is. As soon as he was about to put the last digit I stopped him. " Steven, my birth year might not be the right pin. Why don't we try our anniversary, you know she was the most excited on our wedding" I suggested.
" That was typically 4 years ago, you know what she feels now don't you, and this is our last chance" Steven said " I know what you mean but remember that was the day when she got a complete happy family, a father, mother and a lil sister afterwards, it's her happiest day" I reasoned.
" If you so" Steven said and typed the pin, I was anticipating, if this is wrong we would have to waste an hour. Steven looked at me with surprised eye but a smile. " Seems like you indeed know her best, after all you are her mother. With this it indeed prove that Selena's love for us had never wandered, just hiding and we need to find it" Steven said.
" We will do all that later but now we need to find out her whereabouts, call her recent contacts" I said anxiously. The most recent call was to some, " Mischief maker" we called the number three times but there was no response, we called the second number, "megha" no response, we proceeded to call the third number, " ride or die", ' wow, I don't like that' but luckily this time it was answered.
It was a guy, " hey baebi" he said when the call connected. Well Steven did tell me she had a boyfriend so it's likely him. " It's not her, it's her mother" I replied taking the phone away from Steven.
" So sorry mom, good morning" he greeted. " Who said you could call me mom" I said annoyed because the way Steven described his appearance he doesn't seem anything like a good guy.
" Am sorry aunt, please how can I help you" he said more formally. " Are you with Selena, I want to know her whereabouts" I asked straight away.
" No, I mean, isn't Selena at home, it's 1am, where can she be this late at night and why isn't her phone with her in that case" he asked back and his voice sounded worried.
" She said she was going to some party at Bristol's, when we denied her she sneaked out of the house. Can you tell us the location, we need to get our daughter back home safely" I answered him.
" Oh my God Selena, aunt I would send you the location now on her phone and I will go ahead of you, I know I would reach there earlier than you because am closer to the place, don't worry I won't let anything happen to her" he said worriedly and cut off the call rightaway and less than a minute we received a notification with the address.
Lily is still sleeping and she won't wake up anytime soon, I will ask Kendall to stay with her for now, I thought as Steven and I rushed to the car.
By the time we reached there was almost no one there but the police, we rushed to ask an officer what happened. " Well some teens were having a party here before it turned into a war zone. Some people inflirated the party and started hurting the children, luckily some guy called us and we arrive just in time. The kids are badly hurt but no one has lost a life" the officer explained.
" Where are they now officer" Steven asked. " The ambulance came and took them away to the hospital, but if you are a parent to any of the children I most say you are very careless to let your small kid out this late" the officer said with a scoff.
Not paying any heed to him we drove away to the hospital, I really wish my daughter is safe.
Upon reaching the hospital it was very chaotic. I rushed to the front desk and asked, " Ms, am looking for my daughter, where is she" I asked hurriedly.
" Maam, am very sorry we can't help you, they are so many casualties here and we don't have any of their names, you have to go search on your own" the lady replied and well she is right so I rushed around looking for Selena. I saw a guy in a hoodie talking to one of the doctors.
He did look somewhat like the guy on the profile pic of Selenas boyfriend, moreover he looks really young the most he can be is 18. I rushed towards him and asked, " excuse me, are you Joshua, do you know where my daughter is" I asked.
He smiled lightly at me, " yes aunt, I am Joshua, as for Selena don't worry, she isn't badly hurt, the doctor has taken a look at her and has treated her, she would wake up soon" he responded gently.
" I hope she is safe, hope nothing bad happens to her" I said hugging Steven. " Don't worry aunt, am sure she would be fine, she is strong and she has your love and blessings so what wrong can possibly happen with her" he said and we'll I don't know even with my initial perception of him he sounds pretty decent and good.
" I hope so, tell me exactly what happened at the party" I asked. " I wasn't a part of the party and neither did she tell me about the party else I would have stopped her. As for what happened, I think someone hired those thugs to cause a ruckus, and I have my deep suspect on someone, but I can't say anything till the investigation is done" he replied.
I nodded my head and a nurse led me to Selena's ward. I saw my sweetheart lying there looking so disheveled and pale, rather than fear, worry was etched on her face even thou she was unconscious.
There was a bandage on her thigh and a few bruises on her body, apart from that she seems okay to me.
