I waited for Sebastian's car to disappear into the night before finally emerging from the shadows of the hospital building.
I didn't miss the dark circles under his eyes or the tired line on his forehead. The last time I saw him was the night of that brawl when he had come to be drunk. I still couldn't understand why he had visited since we'd agreed to distance ourselves from each other, especially in public.
But those few moments when he had held me in his hand, I had seen a glimpse of a man with so much burden on his shoulders and I didn't know if it was all my burden or if mine was what made him tired. These days, Tyler was too busy preparing for other cases – he and his team so I rarely see them.
