Chapter 8 - Exchange

This time it was Mr. Magic's turn to interrupt the others. She took a deep breath and said, "The Church of the True God divides supernatural things into Series A [strange things], Series B [supernatural], and Series C [superpowers]. Is there a possibility of [Superpowers] this time?"

"Yeah, I've heard that from other gatherings, so I'm not sure."

" [Superpowers] are items that can bless the abilities of superpowers when you delve into your spirituality. Aside from being able to obtain them through the [Mysterious Land], the only way is to purify [Strange Things]..."

Jenkins received new information again. As he listened, he thanked Mr. Magic for explaining the matter so thoroughly. As he thought of the sticky candle , he suddenly had an idea and mobilized the airflow from just now to bring it into his hand.

The candle in his touch disappeared, but something seemed to have been added to his body. And next to the dots of light and bubbles in front of him, the candle pattern of simple strokes slowly appeared.

"Now it's my turn."

Next it's Mr. Black Cat's turn, "The Nolan City Council plans to improve the Edilan District's infrastructure in the near future, and the goal is to provide steam pipes to every household."

Huh? The style of this message is different!

"As long as it's valuable and classified information, it's fine."

Mr. Hood explained in a low voice, and Jenkins nodded. The shadow on the floor still didn't move.

Finally, it was Mr. Birch.

"I didn't get any valuable information. I owe you one this time, provide two pieces of information next time."

No one else had any objections.

Then they all looked at Jenkins, though of course only the direction of the hood changed.

"Can you provide any news?"

He asked. "Yeah, anything that's valuable is fine. When it comes to superpowers, that would be better."

Jenkins nodded, thought for a moment and then said:

"On the way here tonight, I saw a giant octopus chasing two people." This news was actually quite good. Mr. Magic said in a worried voice, "It's shown up again. We've been having fewer gatherings lately. who knows if we will encounter it."

"Agreed."

"Agreed."

"Agreed."

"Agreed."

The four people responded in turn, and Jenkins realized that this wasn't the first time the octopus had appeared.

"The information exchange is over, and now it's time to act. Does anyone need anything or have anything to offer?"

Said Mr. Hood, who was obviously the host of this meeting.

"I want to know what purple ability this is!"

Mr. Magic couldn't wait to speak, and Mr. Hood turned to Jenkins.

"What can you give?"

He asked back, expecting to get a supernatural item. And after standing for so long, my feet seemed a little numb. The original owner's body was really bad.

"I don't have any money, and your message isn't worth an item. Ask me for a message." Jenkins agreed. The two walked aside . After making sure the other four couldn't hear them, Jenkins asked, "I just got to Nolan's, so I don't know what happened here. I want to know about the big octopus." "No problem. To show my sincerity, I'll get started. The octopus is a big problem for the True God Church. It's been showing up in Nolan City every night at ten o'clock for two months, but only people within ten meters can see it." "Illusion?" Jenkins asked. "No, that's not quite right. As long as ordinary citizens don't see it, it has no effect. But for those unlucky enough to get within ten meters of it, the giant monster is real. Did you see how it just destroyed the city?" "Yes," Jenkins agreed immediately. The scene he remembered was similar to Ultraman's, except Ultraman was missing.

"If you walk around Nolan City right now, you'll see nothing's happening."

"But I saw the unfortunate people being chased were actually injured by the stones fragments."

And the unfortunate person was me...

"Yes, that's it, what you see is real, and not seeing is an illusion. The number of missing persons in the night has increased dramatically in recent months, and the church has finally become aware of this matter, someone mentioned this matter in our meetings a long time ago. The five True Gods churches in Nolan City have all sent people to reinforce the patrols, and the scribe team, night watch team, navigator team, gravekeeper team, and astrologer team are all on duty. Finally, a careless newcomer from the [Vanxiang Xingkong] Church got lost during the patrol and stumbled upon the

"According to the name, the scribe, night watchman, navigator, gravekeeper, and astrologer should each belong to the true god [Inheritance Sage] [Lightless Moon] [Stormmaster] [End of Death] [Vanxiang Xingkong]. Jenkins thought silently. The calendar of this world still has twelve months in a year, and each month corresponds to a corresponding god. For example, now is July, which belongs to the [Hermit of Destiny]. That is why July is also called the [Month of the Hermit and Thunder]. Thunder refers to summer.

"Why did the octopus appear? I mean, it can not be a natural phenomenon, can it?"

Jenkins asked again.

"Its appearance is related to the [Mysterious Land]. You should know that if the Mysterious Land collapses naturally without anyone passing through, some things in it might fall into our world. The Mysterious Land is originally a very strange existence, and if the items in it appear here in this way, they will definitely undergo even stranger changes..."

"This is [Strange Thing]." Added Jenkins in thought. There's no proof, but it must be so.

That's all Miss Magic knows, and Jenkins also said his answer, "Purple, the color of fate." "Destiny? Yes, that's it..."

Back in the crowd, the following transactions were not very new. Most of them involved plant parts, minerals, or some kind of creature whose name had never been heard before. Mr. Magic, for example, wants to buy the third body of the human blood centipede, and Mr. Hood hopes to acquire pure silver blessed by the Church of All Things and Nature.

The latter is not easy, as there is no the Church of All Things and Nature in Nolan City. Mr. Hood hopes that the outsider "Mr. Candle" can get some, but he is disappointed again.

Jenkins also learns in their conversation that the number of abilities superpowers possess is limited, which is related to the number of bubbles in front of them, and the number of bubbles is related to their so- called level. In this respect, they are all the same, so try to choose the right ability.
