Chapter 1 - 1. Prologue

Earth,

Somewhere in an apartment, a young man was writing on his broken laptop. His hair was messy, with a scruffy beard. Behind thick glasses, his brown eyes flickered with frustration. His clothes were unkempt, adding to his disheveled appearance.

Suddenly, he halted his writing and began to ponder, but even after some time, he couldn't conjure the words he sought.

"Ahhh... Why is it so hard? I already have the storyline in my mind, but why can't I explain it properly?"

Frustrated, he tossed aside several draft papers on the table and ran his hand through his hair.

(Hello, and nice to see you here. As for who I am, I am the writer who's going to pen his story.

He, too, is a writer, but recent times have not been kind to him.

However, I received some information from a mysterious source that his life is about to change, granting me exclusive rights to tell his story.

I don't know who this source was, but for some reason, I believed him without a moment's hesitation. It's as if some kind of magic or otherworldly power was at play.

Despite having read countless novels about reincarnation, rebirth, and transference, I never truly believed in them—until now.

The story I'm about to tell you has turned my world upside down.

It's the tale of a young man who stays at home, earning his keep by writing novels. Despite holding a degree in hotel management, he's been unable to secure a steady job, especially since his father passed away two years ago, leaving him alone in this unforgiving world.

You might already know of him—he's known by his pseudonym, 'Universe.'

At just twenty years old, living alone can be tough for anyone, but Universe manages to get by, day by day, somehow. If you look into his eyes, you'll find no spark of life; it's as if he's lost the will to continue.

Yet, when he reads novels, a smile graces his face. That's why he treasures the cheap mobile phone he bought to indulge in his passion for reading novels whenever he wants.

But one day, he leaves this world in an accident while crossing the street. So, do you think it's the end for him, or the beginning of something new?)

When Universe opened his eyes again and surveyed his surroundings, he found himself cradled in the arms of a woman. Though she appeared frail, her smile radiated warmth.

She gazed at Universe for a long moment before turning to the person standing before them.

"So, have you thought of a name for him?"

"A name?" He pondered for a moment. "What about 'Yu Zhou'?"

"Yu Zhou? How did you come up with that name?" the woman inquired.

"It's simple, really. We've been longing for a baby boy for so long. Whenever we looked up at the starry sky, we thought of him. So, I named him Yu Zhou, meaning 'universe.'"

The woman looked at her son once more and declared, "Did you hear that? From now on, you are Yu Zhou."

But how could Universe comprehend this? He felt as though he'd heard this language before but couldn't quite recall it. Yet, at this moment, he was preoccupied with other thoughts.

"Have I been reborn? But where is this place? Why do these people look so beautiful and slender? And what kind of clothing is this?"

Merely contemplating these questions left him exhausted, and he drifted back to sleep.

Yes, he had been reborn, and in a different world at that. The two individuals before him were his parents.

His mother's name was Gu Xuner, a member of the prestigious Gu clan in the capital city. His father, Yu Ming, served as the patriarch of the Yu clan, located in a small city on the border of the Moon Empire, known as Spring City or Chuntian City. In this city, four clans, including the Yu clan, coexisted—Su, Xiao, and Yun being the others.

On the surface, they lived harmoniously, but behind closed doors, they vied for various resources and profits, each clan equal in strength.

Yu Ming, the current patriarch of the Yu clan, was a man of integrity and the most formidable among them. His father, Yu Keng, also served as a grand elder of the Yu clan.

Universe also had two elder sisters—Yu Er and Yu Ling. Yu Er was five years old, while Yu Ling was three.

As a small clan, they cared deeply for one another, unlike other clans. Consequently, Universe found himself as the young master of the Yu clan.

(Sigh, what a lucky fellow, being reborn in a new world. But do you think he's the only one to arrive in this new world? Hehe... How do you think I know his story?

Yes, you guessed it. I've also arrived. But I won't divulge how. Perhaps I'll tell you after finishing this story. Until then, farewell.)
