Jeslyn and Nathan have been in touch, talking about the wedding, The McDonald's family has proposed to the Murphy family, everything has been arranged, and the wedding date. Today Jeslyn is going to pick a wedding dress with Nathan and his mother, Mrs. McDonald's does not like Jeslyn that much she prefers Ava so she proposes the idea of her following them.
"Mother". Jeslyn waved her hand so that they could see her in the corner where she was sitting.
Mrs. McDonald's makes her way to her with Ava next to her, she clears her voice. "Why did you pick this restaurant and this spot, it is so challenging to find".
Jeslyn smiled knowingly, she knew that she was going to complain about everything she did, even if she did not pick the café or this corner. "Am sorry Mom, I should have considered the effort you will put into finding this restaurant, next time I will find a good place". She looks around, searching for Nathan. "Where is Nathan".
"You know that my son Is a busy man, he will meet us there later".
Jeslyn frowns a little, taking out her phone. "Well, he did not tell me that, let me call him". She dialed his number and he picked up after a few rings.
Nathan was in a meeting with the shareholders when his phone rang, at first, he wanted to switch it off, but when he looked at the screen his lip moved slightly in excitement, he received the call and said in a low voice. " Why did you call"?
From the other line, Jeslyn's beautiful voice comes out. "What are you doing not here yet, are your meetings more important than I am". She was acting all cute in other to make Mrs. McDonald jealous more because his son did not pick up his call.
Nathan checked his phone again to confirm that it was Jeslyn who was on the line, he cleared his voice and replied. " I will be there in a minute". He hung up the call and looked at the shareholders.
"I am sorry, something significant came up at the last minute and I have to leave now". He takes his jacket and leaves.
The shareholders were surprised, is this Mr. McDonald's, he left the meeting before it even started, and they all thought that they would be scolded again, but none of that happened, they were happy and surprised.
Theo wanted to follow his boss, but he was stopped. "No don't follow me, just stay here and inform me if anything happens". He drove off and arrived at the café.
Immediately Jeslyn saw him alight from the car she ran off to him, not like the way he did with Mrs. McDonald's and Ava, Mrs. McDonald's was so mad, and she was burning in anger. "That Jeslyn how dare her"?
Nathan was surprised to see Jeslyn run off to him, he acted normal as if it were normal to see Jeslyn act like a caring fiancée.
She kisses his cheek. "I hope it is not that difficult to find this place, Mom said that is difficult".
Nathan smiles brightly, holding her waist as they make their way inside the café. "Not at all, a bit there is one thing I wish for more, to see you act like this every day".
"Sure, you will get to see that every day after we are married". She rolled her eyes, she hates putting on an act, it disgusts her so much to be doing this to someone she like. Did she just admit that she is like Nathan, she quickly shook the thoughts off her mind.
"Mom".
"Son, I called you". His mother pouted acting all cute towards her son, Jeslyn is used to seeing Mrs. McDonald's like this, it is like she is trying to steal her husband away from her, did she say husband again she did not know what was wrong with her today she just keeps pouting nonsense?
"So, let's go to the store". She holds Nathan's hand leaving Mrs. McDonald's and Ava alone, she sits in the front with Nathan, she does not even know why she is jealous of Mrs. McDonald's, she hates the way she keeps on trying to make Ava and Nathan get together, Ava is already engaged to her second son, to her Mrs. McDonald's is a bad mother.
"Nathan why are you sweating so much because you are driving" She wipes his sweat away with her handkerchief, she peeps at Mrs. McDonald's to see his reaction, and she is so excited to see her roll her eyes she is jealous.
"That's because I cannot smoke when you guys are here". He simply said, still concentrating on driving, he can't wait for what she is going to say next.
Before Jeslyn can gather her thoughts together and speak, Mrs. McDonald's already replied. "Son, you should quit smoking, it is not good for your health".
He nodded, not planning to reply to his mother.
They get to the bridal store, and they alight from the car, while Nathan goes to park the car in the parking lot.
Jeslyn already picked out some dress but Mrs. McDonald's did not like them complaining that it would be better on Ava, Jeslyn was fed up and wanted to speak, but Nathan came inside, and she smiled instead and said. "It is not a must for you to like it, once my husband likes it, I will be happy". She looks up to Nathan with a bright smile. "What did you think, am I pretty"?
"They are not even married yet" Mrs. McDonald's murmurs to herself.
Nathan's heart raced as Jeslyn's smile lit up the room. He had never seen someone as radiant and breathtaking as her, and the sight of her in the wedding dress was enough to take his breath away. It fit her like a glove, accentuating her curves and highlighting her natural beauty. To Nathan, she looked like a goddess, a princess from a fairy tale, and he could barely contain his excitement at the thought of spending the rest of his life with her.
Jeslyn was happy by his reaction, she wanted to move closer to him and ask him again when a slim figure appeared hugging him and calling out his name romantically.
Jeslyn's heart sparkles with hatred, 'Who is she? Why is she hugging him' various questions runs through her mind with nobody to give her answers to.
