Chapter 65 - Logic Problem

Listening to Zhi Ying's perceptive response, Jiang Wei couldn't help but pause right in his tracks before he turned his head and smiled.

"We are all classmates, and it is right to help each other," he said and walked into the classroom first, not waiting for any response.

In the end, Zhi Ying ended up not giving those documents to Qin Li. However, after thoroughly understanding the documents, she used the same concepts to make questions and gave him those questions.

"Why do I feel that your way of thinking about the questions is completely different now?" Qin Li worked out a question for a long time before he figured it out. He pulled at his hair and asked Zhi Ying, who was squatting under a tree to eat her bread.

It wasn't like they were as free as they were during summer vacation, when they were even able to sell things together. Now after school, everyone went back to their respective homes, and they were only free at noon. So the two people took advantage of their lunch times and were able to somehow squeeze out three hours for practicing math problems.

"Well, I studied the subject based on the national training team, and created the questions according to them," explained Zhi Ying after she managed to chew a mouthful of dry bread with difficulty, having no other option than to swallow it with water.

"Where did you find the questions? Why couldn't I find it?" Qin Li asked in confusion.

"I have someone." Zhi Ying smiled happily, "A kind and generous person helped me find it."

"What?" Qin Li cast a contemptuous glance at the capitalist's child.

The two of them only managed to calculate a few questions under a big tree on the back hill of the school. When the bell rang, they hurried back to the classroom. All the students had already arrived in the classroom by the time the two made it.

"What did you two go and do?" Han Jiaojiao turned her head to ask Zhi Ying. Anyone with a discerning eye could tell that the two came here together.

"Nothing." Zhi Ying denied it categorically. If she knew they were at the back hill together, then her excuse of going to her dormitory during lunch break would be exposed.

There was nothing to hide about this matter, but mother Zhi, Lin Xiuyu, had asked Han Jiaojiao and Zhi Ying's other friends to pay attention to Zhi Ying's problems with eating on time.

Hence, how could Zhi Ying let them know that she and Qin Li just filled themselves randomly for lunch every day.

Bread was not enough to fight hunger, especially for developing students, whose brains were working at high speeds.

Jiang Wei, who was sitting next to her, didn't seem to hear her stomach's loud growling, and was still listening to the teacher's lecture seriously.

Meanwhile, Zhi Ying held her stomach under the table and breathed out a sigh of relief.

Zhi Ying, who was listening in a daze, didn't notice Jiang Wei looking over at her. She was busy thinking about buying an extra piece of bread tomorrow.

After classes in the morning the next day, Zhi Ying had already planned to go to the supermarket to buy more bread. But she was stopped by Jiang Wei, who was carrying two insulated lunch boxes in his hand.

Uncle Li probably brought it to school, otherwise Jiang Wei would not have had two more boxes as soon as he walked out of the classroom or so Zhi Ying thought.

"Rice balls, and seaweed soup, won't waste time." Jiang Wei said succinctly in a light tone.

"For me?" Zhi Ying didn't understand what Jiang Wei meant as if he were talking in a cryptic code language, indecipherable for her.

"Your stomach growling in class affects my studies, so I hope you can eat more." Jiang Wei's facial expression was not very good looking as he continued, "I hope you can take into account the feelings of your deskmate in many matters, don't affect me."

"Oh." Zhi Ying lowered her head and pursed her lips, "I'm sorry."

After a while, she raised her head again and said, "But you just have to tell me, I'll buy more bread later, so my stomach won't growl in the afternoon."

...She just didn't know how to eat. Jiang Wei's heart tightened, and he couldn't help being angry with Zhi Ying, who had an innocent face. 'Why do you care so little about your health?'

Jiang Wei replied coldly, "No, you eat this. Otherwise, you will waste time and blame me for being picky."

"But..." Yao was at a loss even though she felt that Jiang Wei was right.

"I will bring you lunch in the future, so that there is no debt to each other." Jiang Wei continued indifferently and casually, "I am first place in the grade, and I don't want others to say that I used small tricks to be first."

"Oh." Zhi Ying nodded hesitantly, looked down at the insulated box in her hand, and then looked up at the back of Jiang Wei walking out.

It felt like there was something wrong with this logic.

Zhi Ying was thinking about it in a daze, but she couldn't help but believe what Jiang Wei said about the two not owing each other after she accepted his lunch.

Holding the insulated box, she walked to the tree on the back hill, where Qin Li was already eating bread, staring at the questions.

Zhi Ying sat down cross-legged, opened the lids of the two boxes, the fragrance wafted out, overflowing.

"What is this?!" Qin Li swallowed, slightly drooling.
